Game Play
Basics
This is a modern web-based take on classic shump games.
You control a spaceship with orbiting robots & are taking on an alien invasion.
Each time you play you earn experience which can be used to upgrade your weaponry and defenses.
After an upgrade is purchased it remains equipped on all subsequent plays.
This game consists of ordinary enemies and periodic boss battles.
When you defeat enemies they drop pickups which can be used to upgrade your ship or deliver powerful attacks.
Pick up hearts to restore lost health.
Upgrade your ship after each play until you are fully upgraded.
Stars
Stars can be used to purchase upgrades.
You start the game with 1,000 stars.
Every 5 minutes (or so) of playing you get a 1,000 star bonus at the end of the game.
Each time you defeat enemies you have a chance to collect stars which can be used for purchasing in-game upgrades.
Stars typically range in value from 1 to 20.
You can also earn extra stars by completing bounties. Bounty categories include:
Beat each of the 3 bosses.
Defeat a set number of enemies.
Deal a set amount of damage.
Survive for a set number of seconds or minutes.

Upgrades cost 100, 150, 250, 450, and 1,000.

Tips
General
You are given unlimited firepower, so keep shooting at all times.
If there are no enemies on the screen move from side to side spraying bullets so that when the enemies appear they are already partly damaged.
When you attack an enemy keep shooting it until it is dead unless you need to move to evade shots from it.
Try to play on the lower part of the screen most of the time so you have more time to react to new enemies entering the screen.
Using pickups
Pick up the stars right away if you can, but the other pickups can wait unless they are needed.
If you already have full health wait to use a heart pickup until you have lost health, as you can not hold more than your max health.
If there are no enemies on the screen or if you already are actively using a laser pickup do not run over another one.
Upgrade sequence
Upgrade your main gun early as that will allow you to clear enemies more quickly.
Next upgrade the magnet (so it is easier to earn stars from your play) then upgrade the ship speed.
Some enemies move side to side in a way that can be hard to track & shoot at an angle. Upgrading your rocket power and number of rockets shot can help you deal with them as rockets can attack enemies which are not directly above you.
After that you can fill in upgrading other features, doing cheaper ones first & setting up a second bot and second missile, then go for more expensive upgrades as you progress.
Boss battles
General
When boss battles begin you will typically see a number of pickups on the screen.
If your health is less than full pick up as many health as needed to restore to full health.
Use the laser pickup early in boss battles to do a lot of damage right away.
Some of the bosses also have smaller minion which appear periodically. It is typically worth shooting these right away when they appear, unless they appear in a pattern where they will quickly move offscreen without you needing to kill them.
After defeating bosses you get another batch of pickups. Wait to use the laser pickups until there are enemies on the screen.
First boss
The first boss sprays bullets in all directions.
Since you fire straight up it is best to be at the bottom centered below the boss and fire directly at him, only moving side to side slightly to track it and to evade any shots that you were unable to shoot down.
Second boss
The second boss has both a scattered shot and a direct aimed shot.
Move side to side as needed to evade the directed shot.
If your ship is highly upgraded you can likely shoot your way through the scattered spray shot without needing to evade.
Thid boss
Spend most of your time directly below the boss shooting straight up at him.
The arms light up at the tip when the arms are about to fire laser beams down at you. Make sure you are either inside the torso or outside the arms area when the lasers come.
Sometimes the boss aims a steady stream of bullets at you. This is the time it can make sense to move outside the torso to evade those bullets, and then move right back inside as soon as it is safe.
Fourth boss
The fourth boss is a repeat of the third boss, though with way more hit points, making him far harder to defeat.
Target Audience
The game is suited for players who like shoot ’em up games inspired by Galactica.
The game has no adult themed content.
