How to Play

Guide the dog owner through the town safely to the grocery store & have a dual to the death with the butcher to earn the salami you rightly deserve.

• Starting the Game
  • Press the Play button in the bottom center of the welcome screen to start the game.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your gameplay data.
    • When you beat the game the final screen shows how many times you died and how many seconds it took you to beat the game.
  • The upper left corner of the welcome screen has a sound control button, while the upper right has a music control button.

    • Move up by pressing the W key or the up arrow key.
    • Move down by pressing the S key or the down arrow key.
    • Move left by pressing the A key or the left arrow key.
    • Move right by pressing the D key or the right arrow key.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • This game was designed for play on computers with connected keyboards.
  • Controls & indicators
    • During regular level play the meter on the left shows how close you are to detonating the nuclear warhead.
    • During the final boss battle a meter on the right side of the screen shows how much health the boss has remaining.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • This is a dog walking game where you play as the dog, and yank the owner around.
      • You only control the dog & the leash pulls the dog owner.
      • Sometimes you have to walk past where you would want to go with the dog so that you have the owner in proper alignment to make the next direction change.
    • The goal of the game is to safely make it to the grocery store without having the dog owner blowing up.
      • The owner has a nuclear warhead stuck on his head.
      • If the owner is pulled hard and makes a hard contact with a wall or car it will likely blow up.
      • As you progress through the game levels have lights and cars on them which make traversing the levels more challenging.
    • One you go to the grocery store to pick up your salami you encounter a surprise: the butcher wants a death fight for his precious salami.
  • Levels
    • This game has 6 stages and a final boss battle.
      • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without starting the game over.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You win the regular stages by having the dog make it to the level exit at the edge of the screen without the nuclear bomb exploding.
      • You beat the boss scene by having the dog avoid all the knife blades until the boss is dead.
      • If you blow up or die this game offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of the level you failed.
  • Tips
    • General movement
      • You can move diagonally to give yourself more granular controls.
      • If the owner gets stuck on a fence or building corner stop and consider how you can adjust your path to give him a bit of clearance.
      • To beat a stage you need only get a dog to the edge of the level where the exit is.
        • You don’t have to get the dog owner all the way to the exit.
    • Car timing
      • The cars come at a regular interval on each of the levels where they appear.
        • The game timing is not too tight to where it is decently easy to traverse the roads.
          • On the first level with cars where they move vertically you can stop both characters in between the first row with a car and the second row with 4 cars.
          • On the second level with three horizontal rows of cars you can move straight downward rather quickly and then turn right a bit at the end of the stage.
      • You can time your movement through the cars so that the dog is in one position and the dog owner is in another position.
        • If cars touch the dog owner it is instant death.
        • If cars hit the dog and yank it along that can then pull the owner as well, leading to a quick death.
        • Cars do not catch the leash, so the dog can be on one side of a path with the owner on the other side.
    • Boss battle specifics
      • Blades spinning or straight while encircling you – move right then up, then back down.
      • Blades moving in straight lines left and right – move right then up the line of the knife moving left just above where you were standing.
      • 3 spinning axes – move right and up.
      • Knives fanning in from both left and right sides while spinning – adjust horizontal position to favor toward the side that is coming in less, and then move back in the other direction.
