How to Play

As a mouse, collect as many cheese wedges as you can. Avoid the slippers and the mouse traps.

• Starting the Game
  • Left click or tap anywhere to load the welcome screen.
  • Left click or tap on the cheese wedge to begin the game.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard:
      • Use these to change direction:
        • The A and D keys.
        • The left and right arrow keys
      • Use the Enter key to resume the game
      • Use the M key to turn the game’s sound on or off
      • Use the R key to reset the game.
      • Use the Esc key to pause the game or return to the welcome screen.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on either of the rotate buttons on either corner of the screen to turn.
  • Controls and indicators
    • The game’s controls and indicators appear on the top row. From left to right, they are as follows:
      • Unpaused
        • Your current score and best score
        • Speaker button: Use this to turn the game’s sound on or off.
        • Pause button: Use this to pause the game.
      • Paused
        • Home button: Use this to quit the game and return to the welcome screen.
        • Reset button: Use this to start over from the beginning. You will lose all the points you’ve accumulated.
        • Resume button: Use this to return to the session you’re currently playing.
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Move the mouse around the field.
      • The mouse automatically moves forward and changes direction when it hits the wall.
      • Use your keyboard or the buttons onscreen to have the mouse turn.
    • Collect as many cheese wedges as you can.
    • Evade the falling slippers and mouse traps.
      • These don’t appear until after you’ve been playing for awhile.
        • Slippers appear after you’ve scored 30 points.
        • Traps appear after 80 points.
      • Falling slippers will have a shadow form around where they will land. This gives you time to evade.
      • Mouse traps fade in. They linger around for a while and then fade out.
  • Lives
    • You have 3 lives. These are represented by 3 red dots orbiting in a circle around the mouse.
    • Each time you get hit by a mouse trap or slipper, you lose a life.
    • Lose all your lives and it’s game over.
    • Collect hearts to replenish your lives.
  • Scoring
    • Each cheese wedge you collect is worth 5 points.
    • Collect temporary bonuses to double your score for every cheese wedge you pick up.
      • The bonus power up only appears onscreen temporarily. Grab it before it’s gone.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like simple evasion survival games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
