How to Play

Draw paths in each dimension to enable the character in the other dimension to reach their exit portal.

• Starting the Game
  • Press the PLAY button in the center of the welcome screen to start the game.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser saves your game progress.
    • You automatically begin play at the furthest along level.
  • The top of the welcome screen has buttons for sound control and music control.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Move left by pressing the A key or the left arrow key.
    • Move right by pressing the D key or the right arrow key.
    • Jump by pressing the W key or the up arrow key.
    • Press the spacebar or the mouse left click button to switch between characters.
    • Press the R key to restart the current level.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use the on-screen controls.
  • Controls & indicators
    • Your exit portal has a dark outline.
      • The exit portal in the other dimension has a white outline.
    • You can see the bricks you have drawn with your walking path.
      • A button in the upper left corner allows you to see how strongly things from this dimension will be highlighted in the other dimension & how strongly things from the other dimension are highlighted in this dimension.
    • The upper right corner has buttons for restarting the level and pausing the game.
      • When the game is paused it shows the level select screen.
        • Unlocked levels are light gray.
        • Locked levels are dark gray.
        • The current level you are playing blinks.
        • Across the top center of the level select screen are buttons for music control, sound control, character outlines, and activating a background grid.

  • Basics
    • This is a simple platforming game set in multiple dimensions.
      • The character paths you walk in one dimension create a path for the other character to travel upon in the other dimension.
      • You can switch between dimensions an unlimited number of times.
    • Avoid running into hazards, falling off platform, or moving in a way that gets your characters stuck.
  • Green paths and switch boxes
    • Starting on level 11 the game introduces a green switch box.
    • When one cat is standing atop the green switch box the cat in the opposite direction will draw green slime wall rather than normal wall.
      • The green box shows a character outline when the green slime mode is activated.
    • A player which jumps into green slime wall can walk across it from either top or bottom.
      • Attempting to jump off the green slime will cause a person to pass through it to the opposing side.
      • You can jump through many consecutively stacked green blocks at once.
      • One must walk onto an ordinary platform or fall off a green platform while running to the side to be able to jump off of it.
  • White boxes and swtches
    • Switch boxes with arrows on them allow you to move white box sequences.
      • Individual white boxes in isolation show where the box sequence will move to when moved.
    • Switch boxes with a diamond on them allow you to rotate the L-shaped box sequence clockwise.
      • The longer you stand over the box the further it will spin.
    • Whenever a character passes through the area occupied by the L-shaped box sequence they will not leave a trail of boxes – enabling both characters to share part of the same movement path.
  • Levels
    • This game has 24 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by getting both characters to their portal exits.
      • You lose a level if either character falls off platform or runs into a spike.
      • This game offers unlimited continues starting you at the beginning of the failed level.
      • If you get stuck you can press the level reset button in the upper right to reload the level.
  • Tips
    • This is a game where you repeatedly have to go back and forth.
      • Be sure to give yourself room to jump up if you need to get higher.
      • You can only jump a couple squares high each time you jump, so sometimes you need to have the characters build paths back and forth atop each other to climb.
    • Drawing & obstacles
      • In one dimension you can draw over where spikes appear in another dimension.
      • You can not draw over the exit portal. Instead you pass through the space and leave an opening which your partner in the other dimension can travel through.
