How to Play

Match cubes with the same letter to clear them from the stack. Remove the entire stack within the time limit.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.
  • Select Help to learn the rules of the game.
  • Select High Scores to view the leaderboard.
  • Choose a language from the drop-down list on the bottom left corner.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Left click on the cubes with your mouse to select them.
    • Use the buttons on the sides of the screen to rotate the board view, or select anywhere on the screen background and drag horizontally to rotate the board.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the cubes with your fingers to select them.
    • Use the buttons on the sides of the screen to rotate the board view, or select anywhere on the screen background and drag horizontally to rotate the board.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Top row, from left:
      • Timer
      • Cumulative game score
    • Middle row
      • Arrow buttons (left and right): Use these to rotate your view perspective of the stack.
    • Bottom row
      • Left corner, left to right:
        • Speaker button: Use this to turn the game’s sound effects on and off.
        • Music button: Use this to turn the game’s music on and off.
        • Enlarge button: This lets you switch between full-screen and windowed modes.
      • Right corner, left to right:
        • Pause button
        • Hint button
        • Shuffle button
    • You also get a preview of the cube you selected on the top left.
• Game Play
  • Levels
    • Levels are played sequentially. At the start, only the first level is playable.
    • The game has 40 levels.
      • Finish one level to unlock the next one.
      • Each time you reload the game, you have the option to start from the beginning or from the last level you’ve unlocked.
      • There is no level select screen, so you can’t go back to previous levels to try to earn a higher score on them unless you start the game from the beginning.
    • Each level has a unique board layout and level timer.
      • The first level gives you 6:20 to complete it.
      • Other early levels tend to give you a slightly shorter time limit.
      • If you run out of time a Level Failed menu overlay offers you the option to Try Again or End Game. When you beat all 40 levels or end the game you can submit your score to the high score list.
  • Basic rules
    • Match identical pairs of cubes to remove them from the stack.
      • Select one cube, then select its matching partner to clear them.
      • The cubes must be free to be paired.
        • Free cubes have at least 2 consecutive free sides (left or right).
        • You can select free cubes and they will appear in the upper left of the screen when selected until you select a pair.
        • A stone which is not free can not be selected.
        • If you select a stone which does not match the prior selection then the prior selection is automatically deselected.
      • The cubes do not need to be the same color.
        • The letter Z may appear in orange in one spot and blue in another.
        • You need only match the letter and not the color.
    • Clear the entire stack before the timer runs out to win the level.
      • Each level has a unique time limit set to the difficulty of the level and the number of stones on it.
      • It is typically best to match from the widest rows early in the game to open up many play options.
      • The game shuffles the tiles automatically if you run out of moves. Automated shuffles do not cost you points.
  • Scoring
    • Each pair of cubes you remove is worth 100 points.
    • You also receive 30 points for every second remaining on the clock when a level is completed.
    • Your score is cumulative and reflects your score through the entire playthrough.
    • You can save your score on the leaderboard after finishing all the levels or after ending a level in a game over.
  • Hints and shuffles
    • Hints and shuffles can help you out if you are having difficulty finding moves.
      • Hints will show you an available pair anywhere on the stack.
      • Shuffles will change the arrangement of the cubes.
    • Use these sparingly, as they cost points.
      • Hints cost 150 points.
      • Shuffles cost 500 points.
