How to Play

Raise the tank’s gun to the height needed to hit the target, then shoot.

• Starting the Game
  • Choose the number of players by activating the player icons at the center of the screen.
    • By default, you can play the game by yourself..
    • Alternatively, you can play against up to 3 human or computer opponents.
      • Select a portrait to activate the player.
      • Select the portrait again to change the player’s avatar.
      • Select the icon on the bottom right of each portrait to choose if this player would be a human or computer player.
    • Select the trash button on the bottom right of each portrait to remove the player from the game.
    • You can play against a mix of human and computer players, or against exclusively human or computer opponents.
  • The following controls can be found on the bottom center row (from left to right):
    • Select the speaker button to turn the game’s sound effects on or off.
    • Select the play button to start the game.
    • Select the music button to turn the game’s music on or off.
  • Your browser automatically saves your best score.
    • Your best score appears on Player 1’s icon on the welcome screen.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard, press the following to raise your gun barrels:
      • W key for Player 1
      • Up arrow for Player 2
      • J key for Player 3
    • With your mouse, left click to move as Player 4.
    • Release your click or key press to shoot.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • With your fingers, tap on the following corners and hold to raise your respective gun barrels:
      • Top left corner as Player 1
      • Top right corner as Player 2
      • Bottom left corner as Player 3
      • Bottom right corner as Player 4
    • Release to shoot.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Game screen (left to right):
      • Top row:
        • Player 1 icon and score
        • Pause button
        • Player 2 icon and score
      • Bottom row:
        • Player 3 icon and score
        • Player 4 icon and score
    • Pause menu (top-down):
      • Upper row:
        • Home button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen
        • Reset button: Restarts the match from the beginning
      • Middle row:
        • Speaker button
        • Music button
      • Play button: Resumes the match
• Game Play
  • Classic Mode
    • Basic rules
      • You start with a tank on a platform and a target somewhere across the level.
      • Raise your gun barrel to the right height so that your shot hits the target.
      • Each time you hit the target, both your platform and the target change heights.
      • You have 3 minutes to earn as many points as you can. The game ends when the timer expires.
        • When the timer expires, the game ends.
        • After a few seconds, the game loads a new session.
        • Select the home button from the pause menu if you want to quit.
    • Scoring
      • Each time you hit the target, you earn 1 point.
      • Each time you miss, you lose 1 point.
      • You can compare your previous and best scores on the game over screen.
  • Competitive Mode
    • Basic rules
      • The rules are similar to Classic Mode:
        • Targets change height after successful shots.
        • A new game loads a few seconds after the game over screen appears.
      • Instead of shooting a stationary target, you are shooting the other players.
        • Only the players who got hit will change heights, not the ones who hit them.
    • Scoring
      • Unlike in classic mode, you don’t lose points if you miss or get hit.
      • Be the first to earn 30 points to win the match.
  • Tips
    • If you play with 4 players it is generally easiest to win if you are one of the outside tanks at the far left or far right, so that you can aim your shots at the tank right in front of you.
    • You can repeatedly shoot at a target that is aligned with you until the target moves.
    • Your shots can pass through walls & it takes time to charge up shots that must fly higher. Shooting quickly at a lower target that align with you allows you to get more shots off quickly.
