This is a level escape game where the goal is to get to the white diamond at the end of each stage.
You can walk or jump into diamonds in early levels.
On later levels you need to die to turn to spirit form to float across the screen, and then turn back into regular form when you are over a diamond or inside the same area of the diamond where you can walk or jump into it.
In addition to regular movement by walking and jumping there are two additional movement types in this game:
The game has rings you can activate as respawn points if you die.
Whenever you run into spikes and your character dies it flies in a straight line to the most recently activated ring.
The last few stages of the game also have a series of small red squares you must collect to open the exit portal.
Rings – these operate as respawn locations for when you die.
If you walk past the floor of a ring you activate it.
If you jump over the floor part of a ring when you pass it then you won’t activate the ring.
Spikes – whenever you run into spikes you will move in a straight line path to whichever ring is activated.
Spirit flying – whenever you die you fly to the respawn ring in a straight path.
You must exit the spirit mode into regular mode to be able to exit through the diamond.
Red dots – later levels have a series of red dots on them.
You must collect all the red dots for the exit portal to work.
This game has 15 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
You can replay previously beat levels at any time.
Winning vs losing
You win a level by going through the white diamond exit portal.
You must exit in human (rather than spirit) form.
On the later levels you must collect all the red blocks before going through the exit.
You don’t lose this game by dying, as dying is required to navigate to hard to reach areas.
The only way to lose in this game is to get stuck on a platform you can’t easily move from or to get stuck in an enclosed area with no spikes before you have collected all the red dots.
If you get stuck press the R key to restart the level.
This game offers unlimited continues.
On some stages with many rings you have to jump over some of them to leave a prior ring activated.
Activating the wrong ring can make it impossible to have the correct angle to collect the red boxes or exit the stage.
If you activate the wrong ring you’ll need to either go back and reactivate the correct ring, or restart the level.
In some cases you need to deactivate spirit mode while at the ring and immediately jump while moving to the side to make it across to a platform or a high floating red dot.
To collect red dots and exit through the portal you may need to use a ring that is on the opposite side of the screen in order to have the correct flight angle.
You can pass through platforms while in spirit form.
You can only move back into regular human form when you are not passing through a platform.
In many cases you need to repeatedly switch between spirit form and walking to access different platforms along the journey & enable you to make it to hard to reach areas.
On multiple levels the screen wraps.
On levels where the screen wraps you frequently need to fall through the bottom of the stage to reappear near the top to land on spikes or to enable landing on a platform to reposition your character.
The game is suited for players who like level escape logic puzzle games.
While the character repeatedly dies in this game there is no blood or gore and the character is shown in a low resolution pixelated body.
Other than the above the game has no adult themed content.
Shakespeare on Death
“Cowards die many times before their deaths;
The valiant never taste of death but once.
Of all the wonders that I yet have heard,
It seems to me most strange that men should fear;
Seeing that death, a necessary end,
Will come when it will come.”
― William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar
