You start the game with 3 lives, represented in-game as hearts. Keep track of them on the top right corner of the screen.
You lose a life each time you come into contact with an enemy or hazard.
Lose all your lives and you fail the level. A creepy voice will tell you that you lost.
Enemies
Avoid making contact with enemies. You will lose a life if you get near them.
Most enemies will be defeated with a stomp. Stomping is your only available attack.
Some enemies, such as the rabbits, will fire at you from a distance. Avoid their attacks.
Some enemies can fly or walk forward, while others either stay in one place or loiter back and forth.
The only invincible enemy is the rolling blades. You can only dodge them.
Hazards
Hazards are stationary dangers like thorns or spikes.
Don’t fall into them.
Sometimes a star can be found near the spikes. You will need to lose a life to gain that star.
