Upgrade points
Accumulating points
You start the game with 5 upgrade points.
After each round win you get another 3 upgrade points.
You should use points as soon as you get them to increase the likelihood you will win the next round.
You can assign upgrade points to attack, defense, and speed however you wish. We generally recommend a rather even distribution. You’ll have 12, 12, and 11 for the final battle if you distribute points evenly.
Attack, also known as strength, makes your pigeon deal more damage, and it also raises their HP and FOOD a bit.
Defense makes the pigeon take less damage, reducing it and blocking part of it. It also raises their max HP.
Speed makes the pigeon attack faster, raises their maximum FOOD, and makes their opponent lose FOOD faster.
Shop items
Potion costs $100. It heals 20 HP.
Popcorn costs $50. It heals 15 hunger.
Protein costs $100. It heals 5 hunger and gives you a strength bonus for the next fight.
Orange costs $100. It heals 5 hunger and gives you a defense bonus for the next fight.
Onigiri costs $100. It heals 5 hunger and gives you a speed bonus for the next fight.
Hotdog costs $250. It heals 5 hunger and gives you a small boost on all your status for your next fight.
Sword costs $1,000. It only appears later in the game. The description is “a mysterious sword … you might be able to use it with the greatest SPEED.”
When you buy the sword you merge into a ninja pigeon.
You can stack multiple upgrades of the same type to boost your stats.
For example, you could buy 11 Hotdog before the final battle and have all your attack, defense, and speed stats boosted by 11.
Your gold earned per round increases as you advance through the game.
You should try to have full health and full food going into almost every battle.
You may want to buy a few other upgrades during the last 3 rounds.
Rounds
If you win every fight this game includes 10 rounds.
For all rounds except the final round against Pigod you get to choose between 3 different enemies.
Enemies have more stat points as you progress through the game, and they also tend to have more stat points lower on the list within each round.
If you always choose the most difficult enemy to battle you may want to eat a few hot dogs before each of the last 3 rounds.
When you see the background change in the center of the stats page it means the next battle is against Pigod, so after restoring your HP and FOOD you can spend all your remaining funds on Hotdog to maximize your strength in the battle.
If you and the opposing pigeon both die on the same turn you lose.
If you lose any round it is game over.
Target Audience
The game is suited for players who like points-based fighting games.
The game has no adult themed content.
