This is a cute soccer game which also is a bit of a physics puzzle where you collect stars by hitting them with the ball as you score goals.

Footstar Game Play Instructions

How to Play

Set the angle and kick strength to kick the ball into the goal while collecting as many stars as you can from each level.

  • Playing the Game
    • Levels
      • This game has 30 levels.
      • You can play the levels sequentially or in any order you like.
      • Click on play and choose what level you want to try.
      • At any time in the game you can go back to a level you already played.
      • Levels are not timed. You can click on the restart level button in the upper right corner if the ball got stuck or you selected the wrong angle.
      • If you are stuck on a level consider skipping it and coming back to it later.
      • Your progress is stored in your local web browser. You can continue the game whenever you like so long as you do not clear your browser cache.
    • Collecting Stars
      • The goal of the game is to get all 3 stars and make the ball go into the goal.
      • None of the stars from a level count unless the ball goes into a goal.
      • If you get one star from a level and replay the level wanting to get the remaining 2 stars you missed you would need to get all 3 stars on the replay to get the star count for that level to go to 3.
  • Game Mechanics
    • You control the angle of the kick and the strength.
    • Tap to set the angle.
    • Tap again to set the kick strength.
    • Initially the game is easy with few obstacles, but as you progress through the game eventually you will encounter a variety of obstacles including: fixed wood blocks, moving wood blocks, spinning wood blocks, bombs, warps, air jets which blog the ball, etc.
    • In some cases the ball must strike a moving obstacle and ricochet to be able to hit all 3 stars.

    This kicking game puts you in the shoes of an aspiring cartoon footballer. Your must kick the ball into the goal while collecting the stars along the way. Later levels in the game have elaborate obstacles you must get around. To get the highest possible score, catch all three stars and get the ball into the goal.

    To kick, you must tap twice. The first determines the angle, whereas the second decides the force. The force and angle meters fluctuate. You must press them at the right time to get the desired combination. Unlike most puzzle games, you can play any of the levels off the bat. Most of the replay value comes in finding each level’s winning combination of angle and force.

    Footstar is a kicking game that has 30 levels. The first few levels start off pretty easy. But along the way, expect to solve more elaborate courses. Beyond scoring a goal, you have to figure out the correct angle and force to kick your ball. If you miss a goal, or if you’re not sure about your angle, you can always reset the level. The good news is it has no time limits.

    As an added challenged, it takes a while to get used to the angles. You must click the ball twice. First, you set the angle of the ball. Second, you establish how much force you need to kick the ball. There are times you need to kick it at odd angles, depending on the course. Just take your time figuring out your move. At it’s heart, Footstar a fun and engaging game. It encourages critical thinking skills and patience.
