How to Play

Determine whether the numbers provided are greater, lesser, or equal to the number shown at the bottom row. Choosing correctly will lock in your move in a game of tic tac toe.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.
  • Choose the number of players:
    • 1 player: Play against a computer opponent
    • 2 players: Play against a friend
• Game Controls

    • With your mouse, left click to select.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers to select.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Top row (left to right):
      • X’s turn
      • Timer
      • O’s turn
    • Bottom row (top-down):
      • Numbers to compare
      • Operators to choose from (<, >, =)
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Select a space on the grid to make a move.
    • When you’ve selected a space, look at the numbers on the bottom row and choose the appropriate operator for them.
      • If the number to the left is greater than the one on the right, select >.
      • If the number to the right is greater than the one on the left, select <.
      • If the numbers are exactly the same, select =.
    • Answer within 15 seconds.
      • Answer correctly and you lock in your mark on the space.
      • Answer incorrectly or run out of time and you lose a turn.
    • The rules of tic tac toe apply to the greater game:
      • Form a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row of 3 Xs or Os to win.
      • You can also end the game in a draw by making sure either you nor your opponent can form a full row.
  • Game modes
    • 1 Player
      • Here, you play against a computer opponent.
      • By default, you play as X.
      • If you miss a turn, you give the computer player a turn.
    • 2 player
      • Here, you play against another human being.
      • X goes first.
        • Choose between you and your friend who takes X or O in advance.
      • If you miss a turn, your friend gets one. If your friend makes a mistake in turn, you get the turn and they miss theirs.
