How to Play
This is a modern version of the cult classic game Tetris.
- Select which game type you want to play
- desktop or mobile
- Game controls
- Left arrow = move piece left
- Right arrow = move piece right
- Down arrow = drop piece
- Up arrow (or X) = rotate piece clockwise
- Z = rotate piece counter clockwise
- P = pause
- Control = swap piece with stored piece
- Spacebar = drop and lock
- Gameplay
- The current piece is shown at the top of the screen and its outline of where it will fall is shown below the screen.
- The next 4 subsequent pieces are shown on the right side of the screen.
- You score points and increase your level based on how many lines you complete.
- You get more points for completing multiple lines at the same time.
- Getting 4 lines at once is called a Tetris.
- Early in the game when the game speed it slow it is beneficial to go for many Tetris scores & then be more conservative as the game moves faster on higher levels.
- You can store a piece which is hard to play using the Control key.
- The game is not timed, but ends when pieces get to the top of the screen.
- Your web browser automatically stores your high score.
- The current piece is shown at the top of the screen and its outline of where it will fall is shown below the screen.
