How to Play

Collect all the Bitcoin tokens and stars. Make your way to the sign at the end without falling off a pit or dying from mushroom attacks.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button at the center to begin.
    • Select the speaker button on the top right corner to turn the game’s sounds on or off.
    • Select How to Play below the play button on the bottom center to open the game’s tutorial.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard:
      • Press the A key to run left.
      • Press the D key to run right.
      • Press the W key to jump.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • With your fingers:
      • Tap on the left and right arrows to jump horizontally.
      • Tap on the up arrow to jump
  • Controls and indicators (top-down)
    • Top row (left to right):
      • Top left corner:
        • Remaining lives
        • Value of Bitcoin in US dollars
        • Value of Etherium in US dollars
      • Stars and coins collected
      • Pause button: Pause the game and opens the pause menu
    • Bottom row (touchscreen controls):
      • Left arrow
      • Right arrow
      • Up arrow
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Collect as many Bitcoin tokens as you can.
      • Bitcoin tokens can appear on the ground or within boxes.
      • To collect them from the boxes, you must jump up from below the box.
    • Pick up stars.
      • Stars act as your rating for the level. Get them all to earn the highest rating.
      • These can be hard to acquire.
    • Use stationary mushrooms as trampolines to give your jumps a boost.
      • This will help you cross vast horizontal and vertical distances.
    • Avoid or defeat any enemies along the way.
    • Move to the arrow sign at the end to beat the level.
  • Enemies
    • Enemies patrol in a path.
    • Don’t let them touch you. You will lose a life.
    • You can only defeat them by stomping on them.
  • Lives and dying
    • You begin each game with 3 lives, represented by hearts on the top left corner of the screen.
    • Each time an enemy attacks you, you lose a life.
    • Lose all your lives and it’s game over.
      • You will lose all your lives if you fall down a pit.
    • The game over screen asks you if you want to try again:
      • Select the green check on the left to proceed.
      • Select the red X on the right to quit and return to the welcome screen.
  • Levels
    • There are 15 levels in this game, which are unlocked sequentially.
    • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like cryptocurrencies or simple platforming games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.

Bitcoins don’t actually look like coins

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are entirely electronic. They only exist in a digital form stored in a computer system known as a blockchain. Thus, unlike regular money which can be depicted in coins and bills, Bitcoins don’t really have a “shape” to speak of. Fortunately, they do have an icon used to represent them, so that’s what’s used in the game.

Fortunately, nobody ever got scammed into buying Bitcoin in coin form. But as a reminder if you’re one of the few old enough to actually invest in anything: always do your research before investing in any high-value investment asset, especially one as volatile as cryptocurrency.
