How to Play

Move across platforms, activate switches to enable new routes & rotate their angles. Jump from platform to platform until you make it through the exit portal.

• Starting the Game
  • Press the play button near the top center of the welcome screen to play.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • Above the play button are buttons for sound control and music control.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Moving
      • Press the A key or the left arrow key to move left.
      • Press the D key or the right arrow key to move right.
      • Press the W key or the up arrow key to move up.
      • Press the S key or the down arrow key to move down.
    • Jumping
      • Tap the spacebar or press the Q key to jump across chasms to blocks on the other side.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use the on-screen controls.
      • The movement direction pad is in the lower left of the screen.
      • The jump button is in the lower right of the screen.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen has a button linking to the level select screen.
      • The level select screen indicates unlocked levels with a white background (rather than the default gray).
      • The top center of the level select screen has buttons for sound control and music control.
    • The upper right corner of the screen has a level restart button.
    • When you first load a level the level number is shown in the lower left corner.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • This is a path making game where you move a square by walking on platforms or jumping from platform to platform by jumping across with a goal of making it to the exit portal box.
      • You can jump an unlimited number of squares at a time.
      • You must jump directly across to a platform opposite the one you are standing on.
    • As you advance through the game a variety of more advanced features are added to the game to make the levels more complex & more challenging.
  • Features
    • Push pads – each time you step on the pad it rotates the platform you are on 90 degrees clockwise from the purple anchor square.
      • You can rotate platforms an unlimited number of times.
    • Plus push pads – these rotate another platform on the screen.
      • They may also rotate them platform they are on as well.
      • You can rotate platforms an unlimited number of times.
    • Warps – go into them to go out the other side.
      • You go out the same direction you were moving when you headed into the warp.
      • Warps can repeatedly be used an unlimited number of times from any direction.
    • Warp movers – rounded boxes with an angled box inside them.
      • When you walk onto one of these it changes where the warp portals are located.
      • You can repeatedly walk on these to cycle through the warp options.
      • Warp locations are where the warp icons are currently shown & the alternative locations are where other small square icons are.
    • X and crossed dots
      • Crossing the white square with an X inside it makes the platform boxes with an X on them solid.
      • Crossing the white box with a crossed set of white dots makes the similarly designed platforms solid.
      • Whenever you cross either of the above icons it makes the opposing square type transparent.
  • Levels
    • This game has 28 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You win by getting the red box to the red exit portal.
      • In this game you can’t actually lose, but keep playing until you solve the level.
      • If you get stuck you can use the restart key to begin the level again.
  • Tips
    • You can only jump straight across using jumps that will land on another block or run into a warp.
      • Use the edges of platforms and their rotation points to help you decide your path.
    • Word backward
      • Most ending portals are hard to reach.
      • You can work backward from their location to see what platforms are adjacent & how you need to position other platforms to make it to the end.
