How to Play

Merge identical number tiles on the 5 x 5 grid to gain tiles with larger values. To merge numbers, place them side by side.

• Starting the Game
  • The game is immediately playable the moment it loads.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game score.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click on any available space on the grid to place the tile.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on any available space on the grid with your fingers to place the tile.
  • Controls and indicators (left to right)
    • First top row:
      • Reset button: Clears your scores and restores the grid to the way it was at the beginning
      • Game title
      • Speaker button
    • Second top row:
      • Current score
      • Best score
    • Bottom center:
      • Tile tray
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Place numbered tiles on the 5 x 5 grid and merge them.
      • You can place the tile on the tray at the bottom center by selecting any empty space on the grid.
        • To merge a tile, you must place it beside at least one tile of identical value.
        • You can merge several adjacent tiles at once in the right circumstances.
      • The tiles always merge to form a new tile that’s one value larger than the tiles it merged from.
      • The tiles always merge in the direction where you laid your last tile
    • The tray generates tiles with a value of 1 to 3.
      • If you do not like the tile value generated you can click the reward link at the bottom center of the game to view a placeholder fake ad for 10 seconds to generate a different tile.
    • Merge as many tiles as you can.
      • Once the tile is completely devoid of open spaces, the game ends.
      • Beware of checkerboard patterns forming where numbers valued 4 and up are separated from one another by a single empty space.
        • This can rapidly turn into an game over if you don’t clear more space fast.
        • You must plan the prior merges so that you can create the higher values in the spot adjacent the higher-valued tiles.
        • This becomes harder as you get many tiles valued at 5 or 6, because you are given new tiles at random and you have to make many merges to merge your way up to the same value on an adjacent cell.
  • Scoring
    • Merging a pair of tiles nets you 2 points.
    • Each time you merge several tiles at once, you gain more points.
    • The game will only record your score if you end with a game over.
