Finding differences
Each level comprises 2 images with slight differences from one another.
Your cursor is split into 2. Both move in unison to make it easy to compare.
When you zoom in, the images also move lock step with one another.
There are 10 differences altogether in each level.
Each time you find a difference, the game highlights it with a red rectangle.
If you click a difference which does not exist you lose 5 seconds from your remaining play time.
You only have a limited amount of time to find all the differences in the image. You will lose if you fail to find them all when the timer runs out.
Stages
When playing this game you play through 5 stages consecutively, with a 5 minute time limit on each stage.
While you play through 5 stages, there are actually 20 different image pairs from which you are given a random set of 5 to play through.
If you lose a level you can replay the stage again, but will likely play through a different image from the collection of 20. Scenes include:
Big Ben in London
Venice, Italy
Brussels
Neuschwanstein Castle
Graz, Austria
Athens
Amsterdam canals
Bremen Town Musicians
Saint Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow, Russia
Vienna, Austria
Sydney Opera House

Tips and notes
This is a digitized version of an older set of “spot the difference” cartoons.
The originals were printed. As such, the cartoons have artifacts that may differ between the two images, but do not count as such for the game.
Avoid the most trivial and minor differences such as minor spots of color. They are likely artifacts from the printing process.
Only click when you’re sure you spotted a difference.
