How to Play

Take control of all the animal bodies to unlock the level portal. Exit through the portal to the next stage.

• Starting the Game
  • Press the orange and white Play button in the middle of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The upper right corner of the welcome screen has buttons for sound control and music control.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Move left by pressing the A key or the left arrow key.
    • Move right by pressing the D key or the right arrow key.
    • Jump by pressing the W key or the up arrow key (while playing as the human).
    • The owl has the same controls as the other animals, though it flies & you can also use the S key or the down arrow key to lower your flight path.
    • Press the R key to restart the current level.
    • Press the ESC key to go to the main menu.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • This game was designed for play on desktop or laptop computing devices with an attached keyboard.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The bodies you can control are shown as an outline before you take control of them.
    • The exit portal for the level turns orange after you have taken control of all the bodies.
    • The level select screen shows which levels you have unlocked.

    • This is a simple room escape game where you play as a ghost who occupies the bodies of humans and other animals.
      • Occupy all the bodies on the screen one at a time.
      • After all the bodies have been occupied the exit portal opens.
      • Move through the exit portal to play the next level.
    • In this game you can take on 3 different body types beyond the initial ghost form.
      • Some levels have small gaps that the human form can not fit through.

    • Ghost – can walk across and fall off platforms while moving side to side, but can not jump.
    • Human – can walk on ordinary spaces and can jump, but can not crouch down to fit under small spaces.
    • Hermit crab – can crawl under small spaces, but can not jump or climb.
    • Owl – can fly anywhere and can also fit through small gaps.
  • Levels
    • This game has 15 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by taking control of all the bodies on the screen and passing through the portal exit.
      • You can’t technically die in the game, but if you take control of the bodies in the wrong order you can get stuck.
      • If you get stuck press the R key to restart the current level.
      • This game offers unlimited continues.
  • Tips
    • The order you choose animal forms in and which bodies you occupy first are the main criteria in determining if you can beat a stage.
      • Some levels have multiple different ways you can beat a stage, though some have only a single way to win.
    • General rules of thumb for animal selection & approach:
      • Try to take control of higher animals before lower animals.
      • The owl can act as a wildcard which helps you climb high if a ledge is beyond jumping.
      • If there is a small gap you need to use either a hermit crab or an owl to pass through it.
      • Do not adopt the hermit crab body unless one or more of the following are true:
        • there is another body form on the same platform
        • you can fall off the platform to another platform with another body form on it
        • the exit will open after you take the form and is on the same platform
        • the exit will open after you take the form and is on a platform you can fall onto
    • The boxes can be pushed around to use as a temporary ledge.
      • If boxes exist you likely NEED to use them to complete the level.
      • Boxes can temporarily sit atop an unoccupied body that you can jump off of.
