How to Play

Move left and right to jump up the screen while avoiding spikes. Collect stars along your way and reach the top of the stage to beat the game.

• Starting the Game
  • Press the blue and yellow play button at the bottom of the game loading screen to bring up the game’s welcome screen.
  • Select ARCADE mode to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including beat levels and level star ratings.
  • Select SURVIVAL mode to play the survival mode.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your highest distance.
  • The upper left corner of the welcome screen has a sound control button.
  • The bottom of the welcome screen has buttons for game developer credits & playing more games.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Press the left arrow key to jump and move left.
    • Press the right arrow key to jump and move right.
    • You can use the mouse left click to select either the left or right side of the screen to jump left or right, though the keyboard key movements offer more granular control.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the left side of the screen with a finger to jump and move left.
    • Tap the right side of the screen with a finger to jump and move right.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner has a sound control button, the top center shows your current level number, and the upper right corner has a pause button.
    • The survival mode shows your current height at the top center. When the game ends it shows your all-time best height.
    • The level select screen shows which levels you have unlocked and your star rating on each level you beat.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • The goal of this game is to get to the top of each level.
    • Strategically time your basketball bounces and moves so you avoid running into any fixed or moving spikes.
    • Collect up to 3 stars on each stage by running into them.
  • Arcade
    • There are 16 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Stars
      • You can collect up to 3 stars on each level, for a total of 48 stars.
      • The stars you collect only count if you safely make it to the finish line.
      • If you collect fewer than 3 stars you can replay the level to try to earn more stars. Your new score will only replace the old score if you collect more stars.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You can beat a level without collecting all the stars, but must reach the top horizontal line on the level to beat the stage.
      • If you run into any of the blades you die.
      • This game offers unlimited continues, but you have to start at the beginning of the level when you try again.
  • Survival
    • The survival game plays similar to the levels-based arcade game, but is endless.
    • In this game you travel as high as you can without dying.
    • The game records your record height and updates it anytime you beat it.
  • Tips
    • When going through areas with moving blades it helps to pass through while the blade is moving in the opposite direction as you are.
    • Rather than being precisely aligned with a gap in the playing field it is better to be intentionally off centered to one side so that you can move in a direction while knowing you will not run into anything.

  • The game is suited for players who like games inspired by Flappy Bird.
