How to Play

Play your guitar to send out sound waves warding off penguins & avoid getting hit by the Ice King’s magic attacks.

• Starting the Game
  • Click on the orange and white play button at the bottom center of the welcome screen to start the game.
  • The welcome screen also has a sound control button in the upper right corner.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Click on your left mouse button to shoot out sound waves from Marceline’s guitar to hit penguins.
    • Hold the mouse button click to stay elevated at the top of the range.
    • Let go of the mouse button to descend.
  • Mobile
    • Use your finger like a mouse.
  • The game has pause and sound control buttons in the upper right corner. When you click pause the pause screen shows game play instructions.
  • While the game is paused there is an exit button in the upper left corner.
• Strategy
  • Scoring
    • You automatically score points based on the distance you have traveled. Collecting apples and rubies gives you a hundred point bonus each.
  • Dying
    • This game is of the one-hit death variety.
      • You die either when a penguin hits Finn or Jake, or when you get struck by the Ice King’s magic attacks.
      • When you die you start back at the beginning of the game. There are no continues.
    • In most cases you will typically hit the penguins without much effort just through the tapping required to avoid the Ice King’s attacks, so you should focus most of your attention on the Ice King.
    • A warning on the right side of the scree shows where the Ice King will appear.
      • The Ice King shoots a magic attack horizontally across the screen. Try to be on a different vertical plane than he is.
      • As you advance through the game the Ice King starts to do a double attack, when he first attacks where you would expect him to, then changes vertical planes and attacks again.
• Target Audience
  • This game should be fun for Adventure Time fans of all ages.
    • The simplicity of control and the one hit death makes it easy to start another quick game, though limits the depth of play, so it is not a game someone might play hundreds of times, but it is fun to play a few times.
  • There are no adult themes in the game.
