Tank Defender Game Play Instructions

How to Play

Shoot the airplanes flying by and shoot all the bombs they drop before any of them hit the ground.

• Starting the Game
  • Tap on the game to activate full screen mode.
  • Tap again on the start arrow.
  • Tap on the playing field to begin the game.
  • Slide the “auto shoot” toggle to on if you want to automatically shoot.
    • If “auto shoot” is toggled off then you will have to click on your mouse to shoot each rocket.
    • If “auto shoot” is toggled on then your tank will automatically fire continuously wherever the mouse cursor points.
• Shooting Strategy
  • Always lead your shots. Shoot in front of a moving plane or helicopter. Shoot under a falling bomb.
  • If no enemies are in the screen you can move your mouse from side to side so when an enemy enters the screen there is a good chance you will shoot them.
  • If planes enter in the same quantity around the same exact time from opposite sides of the screen it usually makes sense to shoot the lower flying plane first as you will have less time to react to falling bombs.
• Get Power Ups
  • The large green helicopter drops power ups that can give you double rockets, extra lives, a protective shield, or more time on the clock.
  • You can use the left and right arrows to roll across the screen to grab them, but it usually makes sense to quickly place your tank back to the center of the screen after grabbing them so you will be able to shoot falling bombs in any location quickly.
• Game Ending
  • This game is designed as an endless game. It ends when either you run out of time or you run out of lives.
  • You start the game with 3 tanks.
  • Anytime a bomb hits any part of the ground (even if you are not near it) you lose a tank.
  • When the game ends you start again at the beginning.
  • Your most recent score and all time high score are stored in your local browser.
