• Move around the board protecting your piece and enabling you to take the opposing King.
• Squares you can move to have a pink outline. Squares under attack are red.
• Beat all 15 stages taking only the King to earn a neutral finish.
• Do the above & finish each stage in the precise move count shown to earn a great finish.

How to Play

Safely move the Knight around the levels to dethrone the Kings. Avoid your piece getting taken & capture only the Kings using the correct move count to get the best victory possible.

• Starting the Game
  • Press the Start game button to play the first level.
  • Each time you reload the game you start on the first level.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse to select which square you want to move to.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to select which square you want to move to.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The board highlights which squares you can move to in a pink outline.
    • If your piece is under attack the path upon which you are under attack is highlighted in red.
    • Your remaining move count is shown in the lower left corner.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • The goal of this game is to win each stage by taking the opposing King using only a Knight.
    • The game follows many chess-like rules, however takes a few liberties.
      • Levels have irregular board shapes and gaps in the playing field.
      • You are given a strict move limit for each level.
      • In traditional chess the Knight is the only piece which can jump other pieces, however in this game some other pieces like the Queen also can.
      • In this game you can move into a position where the opponent would ordinarily take your piece, and can then move out of that position before they move.
        • You can’t perform the task multiple moves in a row though.
  • Levels
    • This game has 15 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • Each time you beat a level you unlock the next.
      • You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without starting the game over at the first level.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You win a level by taking out the King before you run out of moves.
      • You lose if your piece is taken or you run out of moves.
      • This game offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of the level you failed.
  • Ending types
    • This game has 3 ending types: bad, neutral, and best.
      • The following section explains how each are achieved.
    • Bad – take one or more opposing pieces that are not a king.
    • Neutral – do not take any enemy pieces other than the King, but beat some levels with moves left over.
    • Best – do not take any enemy pieces other than the King, and defeat the King in the precise move count required for each level.
  • Tips
    • If you are not used to chess it is ok to play the game while taking opposing pieces other than Kings to beat the game & then try to play again for the neutral or best endings.
    • If you are playing for the best ending but make an error, you can repeatedly die on stages where errors were made, so that you can replay them over and over until you get the level beat using the correct move count & without taking any pieces other than the King.

  • The game has no adult themed content.
