This is a simple game like 1024 or 2048 with a slight twist. The top of the screen is constantly falling and you have to merge stones to make pairs to create an upward force to counter the falling roof.

  • From the bottom of the screen shoot stones upward where you would like them to go in order to create numerical pairs.
  • Stone pairs will merge.
  • When the ceiling falls to where you can not play any more blocks the game is over.

Merge Push Game Play Instructions

How to Play

Shoot stones into the playing field and merge pairs.

  • Choose which column you want to shoot a block into and click to shoot the block upward.
  • Where pairs of the same number can be made by adjacent stones they will. Pairs can be vertical or horizontal.
  • If a horizontal and vertical pair are made at the same time all 3 stones will merge into a single stone.
  • When stones merge they merge at a value double the prior stone number, and they merge at the location of the last stone added to the set.
  • The ceiling is constantly falling and each time you merge a pair it pushes the ceiling upward.
  • The game is not timed. Your high score is stored in your local web browser.

    Merge Push is yet another variation on the merge-the-numbers game in the same vein of 2048. It relies on merging exponential multiples of two together to reach bigger numbers. The five playable tiles come in 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32. You need at least two pairs of like numbers to merge the pairs. Unlike with 2048, your numbers will not stack when merging more than two at once. Three tiles worth 2 will always merge to a single tile worth 4.

    Here’s where the push part comes in. As you play, the game board pushes down, putting you under pressure. Pushing the game board back up is as simple as making a pair. Gameplay continues as long as you can make number combinations. It ends when the game finally pushes the numbers of your field to the bottom of the board.

    Despite its simplicity, this is a very engaging game. It’s satisfying to make combos where several lines of numbers are made and merged all at once.

    Merge Push is a puzzle game that puts basic math skills to the test. In this game, you must shoot numbered blocks upward the screen. You are given random blocks of 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 to shoot. If you align two blocks of the same number, it merges into one block adding those numbers.

    For example, you shot block 8 on top of another block four. This will merge into to one block with a number 16. And if you shot block 8 in the middle of two other blocks with the same number, it will also merge into the number 16. If a block that happens to align with the same number in the bottom, it will merge again.

    The game gets tricky because the board pushes the blocks down the longer you play the game. This is added pressure to merge the blocks. As more numbers come, you might find it challenging to keep the blocks from filling the screen. You lose once the blocks reaches the bottom of your screen. It’s an addictive game. However, it’s also a good way to practice adding skills.
