The description is accurate. This game does not play like Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out. It also is very difficult to play on a computer. The chart before the match begins shows you what you need to do, which is harder to do on the keyboard and a mouse. On mobile, and the controls are much easier to handle. Your goal is to survive the round and knock out your opponent. Click on the blue button to block and swipe to punch.
Playing on mobile gives you the edge because it lets you get to the blue button faster. Your punches need time to charge. For every blow you land, you must wait a little bit to hit again. Alternate between blocking and punching until you whittle down your opponent. There’s also only one level, so there isn’t much replay value. If you want to, though, you can try winning on a keyboard for extra difficulty.
The goal of the game is straightforward: defeat your opponent with a knock out. And just like real boxing, you don’t just throw punches into thin air. You gotta strategize your blows to send the most damage to your opponent. If you’re able to knock out your opponent by the second time, you have high chances of winning. But if you’ve been down twice, it’s usually game over.
Unique features in the game include life and battery meters. These are the blue and orange-yellow bars you see on the left side. Based on instructions, players should punch when the battery meter is high. Likewise, it cautions against punching when the battery meter is low or not at par with the life meter. This is key in winning the game. I believe it makes punches stronger. Another tip is holding the defensive button. When not punching, I suggest tapping on the defense button, even randomly. You’ll never know when your enemy will throw a stealthy punch. I loved this game. I just wish it had more levels.
