Basic rules
Use photovoltaic arrays (solar panels) to create and power your turrets.
The solar panels must always face the direction of the sun’s rays to work.
If the sun’s rays move away from the panels, they stop working until the sun comes back.
Other objects (bugs, shields, meteors, and nearby turrets) may also cast shadows on the panels and cut their effectiveness.
The power created by your panels can be used to build turrets and more panels.
However, the power you earn is also used to fuel the turrets, which need energy to work.
Defend the planet from alien bugs using the turrets.
The planet’s center shows arrows indicating where the bugs appear.
The turrets automatically fire.
The fire rate of the turrets vary.
Use the shield for additional protection.
Defend the planet for as long as you can.
Hit points
Hit points appear at the center of your planet.
You start with 10.
Each time a bug crash lands on the planet, you lose a hit point.
Lose all your hit points and the planet is destroyed. Game over.
If a bug lands on a turret or solar panel, those are destroyed without harming the planet itself.
Arsenal
Photovoltaic array (Solar panel)
Costs 20 units of energy
Allows you to generate more power

Costs 50 units of energy
Your basic mode of defense; shoots a fireball that seeks out the enemy bugs
Because of their accuracy, we recommend making these the backbone of your defenses.

Costs 50 units of energy
Casts a shield (and a shadow) over a large area
Laser cannon
Costs 75 units of energy
Fires a beam of energy in a straight line that destroys anything near it
Somewhat inaccurate
Spread
Costs 100 units of energy
Periodically fires a set of explosives that float into space.

Guide
Opening moves
Build up your defenses by creating solar panels and turrets.
Focus first on creating between 2 to 3 solar panels and 1 turret.
Keep all your solar panels on one side.
Make sure to place turrets close to the panels to defend them.
Rotate the planet around so that the solar panels always face the sun.
You can also turn the planet around to make sure your turrets are always in a position to shoot.
Long-term survival.
Once you can afford the shield, place it in areas with no turrets (i.e. on the side opposite of the solar panels).
Make sure to keep generating ample energy to fuel your defenses.
Once you’ve gotten 4 or 5 panels running, focus now on adding more turrets.
See if you can cover the entire surface of the planet with turrets or shields.
