How to Play

Serve diners and reach daily restaurant earnings goals to proceed to the next day.

  • Click on the begin button to begin the game.
  • The button in the upper right corner allows you to turn music on or off and enter or exit full screen mode.
  • Follow the in-game prompts to serve guests as the head waiter (or Maître d’hôtel).
    • Tap on the menu to find how many guests are in a party and then tap on a table to seat them.
    • When a food icon appears above the table tap on it to take their order.
    • When the bell rings grab the food from the kitchen and bring it to the table of the diner.
    • When money appears above the table tap once to receive the payment and tap again to clear the table.
  • The restaurant has a daily earnings goal you must meet to advance to the next day.
    • The game is easy off the start, though over time it gets harder to balance seating, serving and collecting money from guests fast enough to make it to the next day.

    This simple business sim puts you in control of a single waiter operating a restaurant. Your job is to serve customers and reach the desired profit level before the timer hits zero. As each round passes, your daily profit quota increases.

    In this game, each second matters. It takes a lot of time to fulfill orders and receive payment. You could run out of time before your guests say check please. Keeping the restaurant as full as you can is the key to a high cash flow. This simplified tycoon game will put your response times to the test.

    Unlike most business sims, this doesn’t have options for expansion. This is for the best, as meeting quota after the first round becomes challenging fast. What is fortunate is that your customers are quite forgiving and patient, so you won’t break down. The main challenge comes from fulfilling enough orders to stay in business. Rather that space or money, the resource you manage is time.

    Open Restaurant is a fun simulation game. You simply tap to seat customers, take their order, serve, and collect money. The realism comes from the time and effort it takes to provide responsive service. It’s challenge is in reaching the profit quota within the allotted time. Yes, there’s a time limit, so you better serve as many customers as you can.

    The tricky part about this game is the responsiveness. No matter how many times you click, the avatar does not collect the food or attend to the customers right away. It can also get confusing once so many tables have customers. When the order comes out, you have to focus to figure out which table the food should go to. The game is simple but highly addictive. Anyone can end up playing this game over and over.
