How to Play

As a mage, find the lost treasures in the cave and the key to the door while avoiding various enemies.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.
  • Select Options to turn the game’s music and sound effects on or off.
  • Select Help to open the game’s tutorial screen.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress and high score.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard:
      • Use the A and D or left and right arrow keys to move.
      • Use the W or up arrow key to jump.
      • Use the C key to cast your magic spell.
      • Use the Z or X keys or the Space Bar to attack.
      • While using the C key, select either the W and S or up and down arrow keys to destroy blocks above or below you.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Although this game might load on touchscreen devices, its controls were optimized for desktops with keyboards.

    • Top row (left to right):
      • Remaining lives

  • Basic rules
    • Look for keys and other treasures around the level.
    • Find the key to unlock the door.
    • Enter the door to exit before the timer runs out.
      • You have 180 seconds (3 minutes) to finish the level.
      • If you fail to finish the level before then, it’s game over.

    • Levels are unlocked in sequence.
      • You automatically start on the first level.
      • Finish one level to unlock the next.
  • Blocks
    • You can destroy the yellow blocks with magic.
      • Destroy the blocks with care as you may still need them as platforms.
      • Destroy as many blocks in the level as you can until you find the key.
    • Yellow blocks yield either treasure, the key, or nothing.
  • Hazards and lives
    • Enemies are your chief worry in this game.
      • Each time you touch an enemy, you lose a hit point.
      • Deal with enemies by whacking them with your staff. Magic’s no good on them.
      • Do not stomp your enemies; you will end up losing all your hit points at once.
    • You start the game with 5 hit points.
      • These are represented as hearts on the top left corner of the screen.
      • Each time you hit an enemy, you lose a hit point.
      • Lose all your hit points and you lose the level.
  • Scoring
    • Each block you destroy yields 5 points.
    • Every piece of treasure you collect is worth 100 points.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like hidden key puzzle games.
