How to Play

Grab the key then safely bring both characters to the opened exit door. Collect candy canes to purchase new character skin unlocks.

• Starting the Game
  • Select the play button in the bottom center of the welcome screen to start the game.
  • The lower left corner of the welcome screen has a how to play button.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • The red character is controlled using the following buttons
      • Move left by pressing the left arrow key.
      • Move right by pressing the right arrow key.
      • Jump by pressing the up arrow key.
      • Double jump by pressing the up arrow key twice.
    • The blue character is controlled using the following buttons
      • Move left by pressing the A key.
      • Move right by pressing the D key.
      • Jump by pressing the W key.
      • Double jump by pressing the W key twice.
    • Press the button at the bottom center of the screen to change which character the screen is keyed off of.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use the on-screen controls.
      • The blue character is controlled by the 3 buttons in the lower left corner of the screen.
      • The red character is controlled by the 3 buttons in the lower right corner of the screen.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The top center of the screen shows the current level number and your candy cane savings.
    • The upper right corner has 3 buttons for pausing the game, going to the welcome screen, and going to the in-game shop.
      • Be careful not to select the shop button in the middle of a level or you will start at the beginning of the level when you return from the shop.
    • The bottom center of the game has a button for switching which character the screen follows.
    • The shop shows which skins you have purchased.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • This is a simple holiday themed room escape game where you control 2 characters.
    • To beat each level you must find the key and then have both characters pass through the exit door without getting hit.
  • Levels
    • This game has 10 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can’t replay previously beat levels until after you have beat all levels on the game.
    • Winning vs losing
      • To beat a level you must collect the key & then get both characters safely to the exit door.
      • You lose if either character runs into a sharp object or enemy.
      • This game offers unlimited continues.
  • Store
    • Each candy cane you pick up is worth 10 points.
      • You only get to keep the candy canes you acquired if you make it to the finish safely with both characters, otherwise you lose those candy canes you just collected during the level you died on.
    • Each character has 3 hats you can unlock.
      • Reindeer costs 150 to unlock.
      • Christmas tree costs 200 to unlock.
      • Santa hat costs 400 to unlock.
    • The hats do not impact gameplay other than aesthetics.
  • Tips
    • Try to break levels down into smaller chunks with safe stop zones, moving one character at a time whenever possible.
    • On some of the later levels you have to jump over fixed spikes and moving enemies on wide platforms that do not have a safe rest spot on them.
      • In these areas it can make sense to keep both of your characters next to each other and move them in tandem.
      • If it is too hard to move both characters together then try to move one with the camera focused on it until it is past the dangerous area & then move the second character.
    • Don’t forget that you have double jump abilities.
      • If you have a low ceiling and are jumping over a moving enemy you can double jump to stay aloft longer. Similarly, you can double jump to get over a moving enemy which is near fixed spikes.
      • At the end of the second level you need to jump after hitting a spring to make it high enough to pass through the exit door. You can only jump on the initial bounce & thus must walk into the spring from the platform the spring is on & then jump near your apex.

  • The game is suited for players who celebrate Christmas or like platforming games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
