How to Play

Catch the bouncing food items in the wok to cook them. Keep bouncing the food items until they are fully cooked.

• Starting the Game
  • The game has no true welcome screen. To begin the first level, select Start on the top right corner of the game screen.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your best score.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click and drag to move the wok
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers and swipe to move the wok.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Question mark button: Opens the game’s help screen
    • Timer bar
    • Speaker button: Turns the game’s sounds on and off
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Move the skillet from left to right to catch the bouncing food.
    • Keep the food bouncing until it is fully cooked.
      • The doneness of the food is indicated by the timer bar.
      • Once you’re done, select next on the lower right corner if you want to play the next level.
    • Don’t let any of the food items fall off the wok. If you drop even one piece, it’s game over.

    • You always start each session on the first level.
    • Finish cooking the food to unlock the next level.
      • Load the following level by selecting the next button.
      • When you’re ready to begin, select the start button.
    • Each new level adds a new food item to cook.
    • Keep playing through as many levels as you can.

Seasoned chefs can amaze average onlookers when they flip the food cooking on their frying pans, skillets, and woks. It’s not an easy skill to master; often, amateurs at home settle for constantly stirring their food with a spoon or spatula. But why do this at all?

The flipping is more than just for show. Flipping (or even stirring) the food keeps it from burning in the pan while it cooks. This also allows the food to cook more evenly, as the heat is distributed across the various surfaces. Flipping is especially important if you must use high heat to cook. The less contact the food has with the surface of the pan, the better it will turn out.
