How to Play

Merge the numbered emoji tiles to form tiles of a greater sum.

  • Basic rules
    • Move the emoji tiles around to merge them.
      • The number value of each tile is shown on its bottom right corner.
      • Tiles with identical values will merge into a tile that’s twice their value,.
      • As you move the tiles, more take their place.
    • Keep merging the tiles until you create a tile with the value of 2048.
      • You can keep merging tiles even more afterward.
      • 2048 tiles can not be merged together.

      • This game goes from 4 to 16, skipping over 8, so technically it is like playing 1024 instead of 2048.

    • You earn points based on the value of the tiles you merge.
    • You can view your current score and best scores above the playing grid.
      • Your current score is shown on the left side.

    • Board size
      • Larger boards allow you to make more errors and continue playing.
      • You can also create many 2048 tiles in the largest board size, thus enabling you to maximize your score.
    • Move down and to the left.
      • By focusing on a single side, you can keep most of the larger-value tiles in one corner where they can be merged with ease.
      • This also helps you avoid cluttering the playing field by making new tiles appear on the right.
    • Avoid clutter.
      • Clutter is when low-value numbers are strewn about the grid with no ready way to merge them.
      • Clutter quickly emerges when you move haphazardly, as the tiles can appear anywhere.
      • Avoid moving up as much as you can to reduce clutter even further.
    • Keep the largest tile to the corner. Having it in one place will help you direct your efforts toward making an identical tile next to it.
