How to Play

Type in the words above the ships to shoot them down.

• Starting the Game
  • Choose a language to play in:
    • English
    • Spanish
    • Brazilian Portuguese
  • Left click or tap anywhere on the loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • At the center of the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.
  • Select the gear button on the bottom left corner to open the following controls:
    • Select the sound switch to turn the game’s sounds on or off.
    • Select Reset Score clear your previous game data.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your best score.

    • Type the words in with your keyboard.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Although this game might load on touchscreen devices, its controls were optimized for desktops with keyboards.
  • Controls and indicators (left to right)
    • Game screen:
      • Level number
      • Pause button: Opens the pause screen
    • Pause screen:
      • Top row:
        • Home button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen
        • Reset button: Quits the session and starts a new one
        • Play button: Resumes the game
      • Bottom row:
        • Game statistics
        • Gear button

  • Basic rules
    • Type in a word to shoot at an enemy ship.
      • Words appear above an enemy ship.
      • To lock in on an enemy ship, type in the first letter of the word.
      • Type in the rest of the word once the enemy ship you targeted has a locked-on highlight.
    • Take out as many ships as you can.
    • Don’t let the ships get close to you.
      • Complicating matters are the explosions. They will briefly cloud the screen and obscure oncoming ships.
      • Once a ship collides with yours, it’s game over.
    • On the game over screen, left click or tap anywhere to restart the game.
  • Scoring
    • Your score is based on the ships you take out.
    • Each ship is worth 1 point.
  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially whenever you break a particular score threshold.
    • Each time you restart the game, you begin at Level 1.
    • Higher levels have longer words mixed in.
  • Tips
    • Multiple ships which start with the same letter can enter the game near the same time. If the ship you are trying to type does not respond look to see if another ship has the first letter missing.
    • Try to shoot either the closest ships first, or the ships which are moving the fastest and appear they will reach your position soonest.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like typing practice games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
