How to Play

Shoot down as many enemy aliens as you can while evading their fire.

• Starting the Game
  • Left click anywhere on the loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • On the welcome screen, left click anywhere to begin.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard:
      • Use the WASD keys to move:
        • Press the W key to move forward
        • Press the A key to move to the left.
        • Press the S key to move backward
        • Press the D key to move to the right.
      • Press the space bar to release the bomb.
      • Press the shift key to activate the shield.
      • Press the esc key to pause the game.
    • With your mouse:
      • Left click to shoot from your cannons.
      • Right click to fire your laser.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Although the game might load on touchscreen devices, its controls were optimized for desktops with keyboards.
  • Controls and indicators (top row, left to right)
    • Top left corner (top-down):
      • Health bar

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Combat
      • Use an arsenal of weapons to take out as many enemy space pirates as you can.
        • Plasma blasts and lasers are your standard weapons.
          • You can shoot from the plasma cannon as many times as you want.
          • You can only shoot from the laser cannon a limited number of times. After the laser cannon’s meter is full, you must wait for it to cool down before using it again.
        • You can also use a limited number of bombs to take out large quantities of enemies at once.
          • You only have 3 bombs, so use them sparingly.
        • Collect green glowing power ups to give you an array of different weapons.
        • The power ups that you use
      • Dodge enemy fire as best you can.
        • In earlier stages, enemy fire is scattered and should be easy to dodge if you move fast.
        • As you progress through the waves, enemy fire starts to cloud the screen, making it difficult to dodge.
        • In the 4th and 5th waves, enemy fire locks onto you and follows you around. Move toward enemy ships to not only dodge the shots but take out the enemies shooting at you.
    • Waves
      • Enemies come in stages called waves. The ferocity of each enemy attack gets worse with every wave.
      • Defeat as many enemies as you can in each wave to earn points.
      • The wave ends when the enemies are either destroyed or fly past you.
      • The end stage is a battle against a series of bosses. Defeat them to win the game.
  • Health
    • Use the shield to protect you from enemy fire.
      • Press and hold down the shift key to activate the shield.
      • The shield will only protect you for a short period, but it will keep you from losing health while it’s active.
        • When the shield is spent, you lose it.
        • You cannot use it again until the cooldown period is done.
      • The shield bar both records how long you can use the shield and how long it takes for it to charge.
      • You can use the shield again even if it isn’t fully charged, but you cannot use it as long.
    • You only have a limited amount of health, which is indicated on the health bar.
      • Each time you get hit, you lose health.
      • The mission will end if you lose too much health.
      • You can replenish your health by collecting red power ups.
    • On the game over screen are the following options:
      • Select Main Menu to return to the welcome screen.
      • Select Redeploy to start a new session.
  • Power ups
    • Power ups appear at random as glowing blobs of colored mist.
      • These appear at random and float around.
      • Your ship will draw them in when you get close enough to them.
    • When collected, power ups provide different bonuses:
      • Green power ups provide a weapon, either in the form of a continuous plasma blast, a red laser, or an extra bomb.
      • Blue power ups charge your shield.
      • Red power ups replenish your health.
  • Scoring
    • You earn 100 points for every enemy you take out.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like space shooting games.
  • Apart from mild language, the game has no adult themed content.
