How to Play

As an archer or a knight, retrieve 3 jewels to collect the star at the end of the level.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select Start Game at the center to begin.
    • Select the question mark button on the bottom right corner to open the game’s tutorial screen.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard:
      • Press the A key or the left arrow key to move left.
      • Press the D key or the right arrow key to move right.
      • Press the S key to run. You will always run in the direction you’re currently facing.
      • Press the W key or up arrow to jump or climb.
      • Press the L or X keys to attack from a distance.
      • Press the Z or K keys to attack from up close.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • With your fingers:
      • Tap on the left and right arrows to move.
      • Tap on the down arrow to run forward.
      • Tap on the up arrow to jump or climb.
      • Tap on the diamond button to attack from a distance.
      • Tap on the attack button to attack from up close.
  • Controls and indicators (left to right)
    • Top row:
      • Health bar
      • Jewels
      • Score
      • Dot buttons: Pauses the game and opens the following controls
        • Home button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen.
        • Play button: Resumes the game from where you last left off
        • Speaker button: Turns the game’s music on or off
    • Bottom row (touchscreen controls):
      • Arrow buttons

      • Up arrow button

  • Character selection
    • Choose from one of the two available characters:
      • Knight
      • Archer
  • Basic rules
    • Reach the star at the end of the level.
    • Evade or take out the enemies you encounter.
    • Collect as many coins as you can.
    • Retrieve 3 or more jewels to break through the star’s barrier.
    • Collect the star to clear the level and go to the next stage.
    • The game’s end screen has the following options:
      • Select the home button to return to the welcome screen.
      • Select the arrow to play the next level.
      • Select the reset button to start the current level again from the beginning.
  • Health
    • You begin each level with a full bar of health.
    • Each time you get attacked by an enemy or fall into spikes, you lose health.
    • Lose all your health and you fail the level.
    • Collect heart crystals in bubbles to replenish your lives.
  • Level features
    • Treasure chests
      • Treasure chests contain extra coins.
      • To open them and collect their contents, pick up a key somewhere in the level.
    • Ladders
      • Ladders allow you to ascend up and down different platforms that you have no other way of reaching.
    • Barrels of powder
      • Do not touch these barrels. They will explode.
      • Ignite these barrels from a safe distance by using a ranged attack on them.
  • Enemies and hazards
    • Enemies
      • You can deal with enemies from close range or at a distance.
      • Enemies will try to chase you if they see you.
      • You do not need to slay all your enemies to complete the level
      • Once enemies reach you, they will attack. Attacking them at the same time can deflect some of their blows, but this isn’t guaranteed.
    • Pits
      • Pits lined with spikes are a deadly hazard. Once you fall in, failing the level is guaranteed.
      • While you aren’t taken out by the pit spikes right away, you cannot jump out of the pit.
      • Sometimes, enemies will walk into the pit, saving you the trouble of dealing with them.
      • Do whatever you can to avoid falling into them.
    • Spikes
      • Spikes can appear in various floor-level spots in the stage.
      • Avoid touching them at all costs.
  • Levels
    • There are 6 levels (stages) in this game, which are unlocked sequentially.
    • You can replay any of the stages you’ve previously beaten.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like simple platformer games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
