How to Play

Answer a math-based logic puzzle correctly within 1 minute.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button at the center to begin.
    • Select the speaker button on the bottom right corner to turn the game’s sounds on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
    • The latest level you unlocked is shown above the play button on the welcome screen.

    • With your mouse, left click to select.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers to select.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Top row (left to right):
      • Back button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen.
      • Timer
      • Gems collected
    • Middle row
      • Answer space
      • Hint button
    • Bottom row
      • Numbers
      • Bottom right corner (top-down):
        • Backspace button
        • Enter button
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • You begin with a math puzzle shown at the center of the screen. Read the question and analyze the puzzle with care.
    • Once you’ve found the answer to the puzzle, type it in on the space provided.
      • Type your answer using the numbers onscreen.
      • If you think you made a mistake, select the backspace button to clear your answer.
      • If you’re sure of your answer, select the green check button.
    • If you’re unsure of your answer, select the hint button.
    • Finish the puzzle before the timer runs out.
      • You have 1 minute to answer the question
      • If you run out of time, you fail the question and must try again.
      • Each time you try again, the clock resets.
  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially and consist of a single puzzle.
    • Finish one puzzle to unlock the next.
    • You automatically start at the latest puzzle you’ve unlocked anytime you restart the game.
    • There are 100 levels to play through.
  • Scoring
    • You earn 20 gems each time you make a correct answer.
    • Use the gems you earn to use hints when you’re unsure of your answer.
  • Hints
    • A hint does not solve the puzzle for you.
      • Rather, it shows you the logic followed by the puzzle, which may not be obvious.
      • Knowing the hint can help you narrow down potential answers and lead you to the correct one.
    • Use hints sparingly.
      • Each hint costs 50 gems, while you get 20 gems for getting it right.
      • It takes 3 correct answers to pay for a hint.
• Target Audience
