How to Play

As a cute cartoon creature, climb safely up as many platforms as you can.

• Starting the Game
  • Left click or tap anywhere on the welcome screen to begin.
    • The game is immediately playable from the welcome screen.
  • Select the enlarge button on the top left corner to switch between windowed and full screen modes.
  • On the bottom row are the following controls, from left to right:
    • Select the gear button to open the game’s music and sound effects volume sliders.
    • Select the store button to choose a different character to play.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress and high score.

    • With your mouse, left click left or right to jump up.
    • Use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to jump left or right.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers to jump
• Game Play
  • Basic rules:
    • Your character can only go up.
    • Left click or tap to jump onto another platform. Your character moves in the direction your mouse or fingers point at.
    • Keep jumping up as high as you can before the timer runs out.
      • You can add to your timer by picking up hourglass power ups you can find on the platforms.
      • If you fall off at any point, you die.
    • Avoid hazardous platforms.
      • Disappearing platforms appear in one turn and disappear in the next.
        • If they appear before you, they will disappear before you step on them.
        • It’s safe to hop on them when they’re not visible; they will reappear when you jump.
      • You cannot stay in unstable platforms for long. Move to a stable one before it cracks.
      • If you hop onto a spike or an ice platform you die.
  • Scoring and unlockables
    • Your score is based on the number of platforms you climbed.
      • You can double your score for a brief time by picking up trophy power ups.
      • You can view your current and best scores on the game over screen.
    • Characters
      • Each time you reach a score milestone, you unlock another character on the store.
      • Only the jelly is available at the start of the game.
      • You can view the score that unlocks the character below its entry on the store screen.
        • Bear is unlocked at 10.
        • Buffalo is unlocked at 20.
        • Cat is unlocked at 30.
        • White bear is unlocked at 40.
        • Whale is unlocked at 50.
        • Unicorn is unlocked at 60.
        • Tiger is unlocked at 70.
        • Shark is unlocked at 80.
        • Rainbow is unlocked at 90.
        • Panda is unlocked at 100.
        • Monster is unlocked at 110.
        • Lion is unlocked at 120.
        • Rex is unlocked at 130.
        • Goat is unlocked at 140.
        • Ghost is unlocked at 150.
        • Egg is unlocked at 160.
        • Dolphin is unlocked at 170.
        • Dino is unlocked at 180.
        • Cow is unlocked at 190.
  • Tips
    • Some background colors are similar to the foreground, whereas other layouts have more unique color combinations where the platforms and backgrounds are better differentiated from each other. If you get a color combo you don’t like you can quickly fall off platform to start again on a color combo you do like.
    • At the beginning of the game you can go 5 or 6 platforms without much thought. Similarly, whenever you step on safe you can move quickly about a half-dozen platforms.
    • Try to collect as many power ups as you can to boost your play time.
    • Move quickly on regular and cracked floors, but try not to trust blinking platforms & stay away from the slippery or spiked platforms.
