How to Play

Drop jewels onto any of the 4 tracks. Merge identical jewels until you reach the value of 10.

• Starting the Game
  • At the center of the welcome screen are the following controls:
    • Select the play button to begin.
    • Select the settings button to open the game’s sound and music controls.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your high score.

    • With your mouse, left click to drop the jewel.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers to drop the jewel.
  • Controls and indicators (top row, left to right)
    • Triple dot button:
    • Score
    • Eye button: Turns the labels on or off.
    • Next 2 jewels
    • Bomb power up
    • Switch power up
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Drop gems onto any of the four tracks.
    • Putting 2 identical gems merges them together to form a gem that’s one value higher.
      • Each gem color has a number value. If you play long enough, you may be able to play without the numbers on.
      • You can turn the numbers on or off using the eye button.
      • Drop a white X gem on any number to
    • You can merge the numbers until you reach the number 10 gem.
      • Merge a pair of 10s to remove them from the track.
    • Keep merging numbers for as long as you can.
    • Don’t let the numbers reach the line at the top of the screen.
      • If even one of the tracks fills up completely, it’s game over.
      • If you want to start over, select the giant reset button at the center of the game over screen.
  • Power ups
    • The game has 2 power ups:
      • Bomb
        • This removes the topmost gem from the track.
        • The bomb replaces the gem you are about to drop; make sure you’re okay with replacing the gem you’re dropping.
        • The power up is useful if you find yourself piling on larger numbers on top of smaller ones.
        • Using a bomb will also free up a track for you to drop an identical number on.
      • Switch
        • This lets you swap the current gem with the one that comes next.
        • Use this if the next gem is more immediately useful than the current one.
    • To use a power up, select its button on the top right corner.
    • You cannot replenish power ups. Use them only when you need to.
    • You start each session with 5 of each power up.
  • Scoring
    • You earn points each time you merge a pair of gems.
    • The value of the gem pairs you merges determines the number of points you earn.
      • Pair of 1s: 4 points
      • Pair of 2s: 6 points
      • Pair of 3s: 8 points
      • Pair of 4s: 10 points
      • Pair of 5s: 15 points
      • Pair of 6s: 20 points
      • Pair of 7s: 25 points
      • Pair of 8s: 30 points
      • Pair of 9s: 40 points
      • Pair of 10s: 60 points
    • You can compare your latest and high scores on the game over screen.
  • Tips
    • Try to keep your stacks in order as best you can so you can make combination moves which help you lower the stacks quickly.
      • Try to keep the stacks ascending in value as you descend down each stack.
      • Try to minimize the numerical distance between gems on a stack.
    • Be sure to check out the upcoming gem before making a play so that you don’t mess up the column you’d like to lay the next gem in.
