How to Play

Tap whenever the small hearts are in the center of the main heart or when an arrow is in the outer part of the main heart.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.
  • Below the play button are the following controls (from left to right):
    • Select the information button to open the game’s tutorial
    • Select the enlarge button to switch between windowed and full screen modes
    • Select the speaker button to turn the game’s sounds on and off
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • Your current score appears above your previous high score at the center of the welcome screen.

    • With your mouse, left click to collect hearts and destroy arrows.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers and use them as a mouse.

  • Basic rules
    • Left click or tap on the main heart to have it beat at the right time
      • “The right time” for a beat varies.
        • When collecting smaller hearts, the right time is when they pass through the center of the main heart.
        • When deflecting arrows, it’s while the arrow is in the outer white part of the main heart.
      • Collecting smaller hearts makes the central heart grow larger.
        • This also increases the size of the heart’s center, making it easier to catch hearts that pass by.
      • Missing a beat (and not collecting any hearts) shrinks the main heart.
        • Getting hit by arrows also shrinks the main heart.
    • The game ends when you miss too many beats or take too many arrows.
  • Levels
    • Levels are determined by the size of your main heart.
      • Make it big enough and you level up.
      • Each time you level up you score more points per heart captured.
    • Once the heart levels up, it returns to its previous size.
      • You must make it grow again to level up further.
  • Scoring
    • Your score is dependent on the number of smaller hearts you collect, with the per-heart score increasing as your level increases.
  • Tips
    • If arrows are coming before hearts then take out the arrow so you can focus on catching the hearts.
    • If arrows are coming at a similar time as hearts you can focus primarily on the smaller hearts as a beat can both deflect an arrow and collect a heart at the same time.
      • Since the inner heart is smaller you need to be more precise with your timing to time it correctly.
      • Hearts passing through turn blue momentarily when they are in the center, helping you with your timing.
