This is a variation on the classic Snake formula with two game modes. The first is an endless arcade version similar to the original mobile versions of Snake. The other is an escape room game where the snake must work toward unlocking the door to the level in each of the 30 stages.

• Play for as long as you can in arcade mode.
• Eat apples to gain the skills needed to retrieve the key to exit the levels in level mode.
• After obtaining the apples run into the fireballs to unfreeze the key & exit through the door.

How to Play

As a snake, collect and eat as many apples as you can in arcade mode. In level mode grab all the apples from the third screen, hit all the fireballs in the first screen, pick up the unfrozen key & then pass through the door at the bottom of the first screen.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button at the center to begin the levels mode.
    • Select Arcade Mode to play the arcade mode.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
    • Your level progress appears on the bottom center of the welcome screen.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click on the arrows to change the snake’s direction.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the arrows with your fingers to change the direction the snake moves.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Top row (left to right):
      • Levels mode
        • Level number:
        • Pause button
      • Arcade mode
        • Score
        • Home button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen
    • Bottom row
      • Control arrows
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • The snake automatically moves forward.
      • Use the control arrows on the bottom center of the screen to change the direction the snake moves.
      • Select the arrow from the left to make the snake turn left, and select the arrow from the right to turn right.
    • Collect the apples that appear onscreen.
    • Avoid hitting the walls or any other obstacles found onscreen.
      • If you hit any of the walls, it’s game over.
      • The game automatically restarts after it ends.
  • Game modes
    • Levels mode
      • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
        • There are 30 levels in this game.
          • Each time you beat one level, you automatically unlock the next one.
          • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten.
        • The first level acts as a tutorial for the game mode.
      • Your goal is to have the snake exit the level.
        • To do that, they must unfreeze the key from the block of ice.
          • Eat all the apples to gain fire immunity.
            • Hit the apples to unfreeze them.
            • Upon eating all the apples, move to the fire to gain flame powers.
          • Use the flame powers to melt the key.
            • The flame acts as an obstacle until you gain fire immunity.
        • Move to the now-opened door to exit the level.
      • The playing area in this game mode is much bigger than what could fit on the game screen.
        • Move toward the areas marked by the arrows to proceed to the next screen.
        • Levels mode has obstacles such as lava pits. Hitting them will restart the level.
        • You cannot gain immunity from lava pits.
    • Arcade mode
      • Unlike some of our other games, this one has arcade mode available from the beginning.
      • Arcade mode features endless gameplay. Keep playing until you can’t anymore.
      • This mode employs a much smaller screen but has no obstacles except for the walls.
      • Earn points based on the number of apples you’ve eaten.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like Snake games.
    • This game is a more challenging sequel to the original Happy Snake game.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
