Selecting the penguins turns them into either squares or circles.
Circular penguins roll.
Square penguins stay put (though they still may spin a bit based on their momentum built up while round).
If the penguin refuses to roll as a circle, you can do this:
Select them to transform them into a square.
Select them immediately after to re-transform them into a circle.
This is often enough to get them moving again.
Another thing you can do is change the shape of a square penguin under another penguin so that when the lower one becomes a circle the upper one will roll in one direction or the other depending on which side of the circle it is oriented toward.
Change the shape of the penguins at the right time to roll them to their destinations.
Make sure all penguins roll to their correct destination platforms.
Once the penguins land on their platforms, they re-orient themselves to an upright position. Don’t worry about them landing on their sides.
After penguins hit their destinations, the game will check them before it decides to clear the level.
The penguins don’t need to touch the plaftorms exactly, but they should hover close to it.
Once penguins have reached their destinations you typically want to turn them into a square to ensure they do not roll off platform or touch the side of the wrong platform type.
In later levels, you must contend with moving walls and platforms. Time your changes to get the penguins past them.
Starting at level 14 you will encounter retractable spikes made of ice.
Time your movements so you pass through the dangerous areas when the spikes are not out.
Starting on level 18 gravity works backward on some levels.
Level 26 has a spring which can bounce your penguins far across the screen.
You need to use the spring to jump one penguin across the chasm.
The second penguin needs to cross the spring area when it is retracted so that the penguin can fall straight down.
Level 31 has small drops of ice where the penguins fall off them like a pachinko machine.
If even just one penguins rolls off or stops on the wrong platform type, you fail the level.
If you’re ever stuck, select the reset button to start the level again from the beginning.
Levels are unlocked sequentially.
You start off with only one of the levels unlocked.
Finish one level to unlock the next.
There are 36 levels in this game.
You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked.
You can cycle between square and circle versions of penguins an unlimited number of times.
Do so regularly to slow down & have more granular control of your speed and momentum.
Do so before reaching the final destination platform, particularly if you are on a ramp. On a ramp you can always turn round to gain momentum again.
When spikes are retracting be sure to wait until they have fully retracted to go over them.
Never try to bring 2 penguins at a time through the spikes. Focus on one penguin at a time.
On some stages the order you move penguins matters greatly.
You may need to have multiple penguins bouncing off each other at the same time on some stages.
Many stages have gaps or chasms in them where you need to fill in the gaps with the correct colored penguins before having other penguins roll over them.
On some stages like 25 and 34 you need to make tightly timed moves to get each penguin to roll the correct direction. You may need to use some rounded penguins stacked on other rounded penguins as a temporary ramp to have other penguins roll the right way.
The game is suited for players who like simple physics puzzle games.
The game has no adult themed content.
