How to Play

Catch as many of the fish that swim by within the time limit. Avoid catching the sea mines and toxic waste.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen are the following controls:
    • Use the arrows to select a hook.
    • Select the play button to begin.
    • Select the speaker button to turn the game’s sounds on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your best score:
    • Your best score appears below the game’s title on the welcome screen.

  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click to drop your fishing line.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap anywhere onscreen with your fingers to drop the fishing line.
  • Controls and indicators (top row, left to right)
    • Current score
    • Timer
    • X button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen.
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Drop the line to catch the fish.
      • The line must touch a fish’s mouth or body for it to be caught.
      • If a fish is caught by the line, the line moves quickly back to the surface.
      • Likewise, if no fish is caught by the line, it goes up slowly.
    • Avoid catching the sea mines or the toxic waste.
    • Catch as many fish as you can within the 90-second time limit.
      • Once the timer expires, it’s game over.
  • Scoring
    • Fish provide you with points. The number of points you get per fish depends on its size.
      • The tiniest fish give you 5 points.
      • Medium-sized fish give you 10 points.
      • Swordfish give you 20 points.
      • Sharks give you 50 points.
    • Picking up sea mines or toxic waste will deduct 10 points from your score.
      • Note that your score can go on the negative. Avoid catching them at all costs.
