How to Play

Merge identical dog-themed number tiles on the grid. Keep merging tiles until you produce the 2048 tile.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.
  • Your web browser automatically saves you best score.

    • With your keyboard, press the arrows or the

  • Controls and indicators
    • Top row (left to right):
      • Home button: Quits the gamer and returns you to the welcome screen
      • Score
      • Reset button: Restores the grid to the way it was at the beginning
    • Bottom center:
      • Arrow buttons.
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Move the tiles in unison.
      • Tiles that are identical will merge together to form a tile that’s twice the number value.
      • Each time you move, the game generates a new low-value tile (usually a 2) at a random empty cell in the grid.
    • Keep playing until you form the 2048 tile.
      • The win screen will flash after you reach this tile.
      • Select the check button to close the win screen and resume playing
    • The game ends when you run out of room.
      • On the game over screen, select the check button to start a new game.
  • Scoring
    • The value of your score is based on the value of the resulting tile. For instance, merging a pair of 2s will give you 4 points.
    • You can compare your latest and best scores on the welcome screen.
    • If you resume after reaching the 2048 tile, you will start over with 0 points plus a bonus.
  • Tips
    • Pick a corner to form the larger tile.
      • Restrict your movements to down and a single direction (we recommend the left).
      • By not moving any other direction, you keep low-value tiles from forming close to the
    • Only move up if you need to or if you’re certain the largest tile at the corner will not move.
