How to Play

Help the chickens cross the road while avoiding traffic.

• Starting the Game
  • Tap anywhere on the game loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • Select the blue and white star button in the lower center of the welcome screen to start the game.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your high score.
  • The upper right corner of the welcome screen has a sound control button. The lower left corner has a game developer information button while the lower right corner has a more games button.

    • Use your mouse left click button to operate the chickens.
      • Left click on a chicken to stop their walking. Left click again to send them in motion.
      • Left click and swipe up or down on a chicken to get them to run.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap a walking chicken to get it to stop. Tap a stopped chicken to get it to walk.
    • Swipe a chicken up or down to get it to run.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper right corner of the game has a sound control button.
    • Your current score is shown in the top center of the screen.
    • The game over screen shows your most recent score and your best score.
    • The game’s welcome screen shows your top score bottom center.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • Vehicles enter from both sides of the road periodically.
    • Chickens can appear from the top or the bottom of the screen anywhere across the width of the screen.
      • You can stop the chickens, restart them, and request they run faster.
      • The chickens are by default rather dumb & they will run into the side of a vehicle.
      • As soon as one chicken dies it is game over.
  • Scoring
    • Each chicken that makes it to the other side is worth a point.
  • Tips
    • Score big early
      • Try to move many chickens through the game early on quickly before the screen gets cluttered.
      • As the screen gets cluttered with more cars and more stopped chickens it is easier to get distracted by the noise and make a mistake.
    • Screen size
      • This game may be a bit easier on a smaller screen than a large monitor since the touchpoints are closer together.
    • The visual layout perspective is not ideal on this game.
      • A chicken can look like it is stopped in the top lane moving left and still get hit by a bus in the bottom lane moving right.
      • A chicken stopped before the road can get hit by a tall truck coming through.
      • To offset the above issue you really need to give a bit of extra clearance when stopping.

  • The game is suited for players who like cross the road games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
