This is a cat-themed version of one of the world’s favorite idle number games. Merge the numbered cells with cats on them to form cells of larger values. Repeat the process untily you get the cell valued at 2048.

How to Play

Merge cells with the same number to form larger-valued cells. Keep merging until you reach the 2048 cell.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select Play at the bottom center to load the game’s tutorial.
  • On the tutorial screen, select Play at the bottom center to begin the game in earnest.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard, press the arrows or the WASD keys to move the cells.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the arrow buttons with your fingers to move the cells.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Top row (left to right):
      • Home button: Quits the game and returns you to he welcome screen
      • Score
      • Reset button: Clears the grid and lets you start from the beginning
    • Bottom center (touchscreen controls):
      • Arrow buttons
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • You begin with a 4 x 4 grid containing between 1 and 3 starting tiles (cells).
      • Each cell has a number on it and a picture of a cat.
      • When you move two identical cells together, they merge to form a cell that’s twice the value.
    • Move the cells around to continually merge them.
      • Cells move in unison in the direction you choose.
      • New cells generate near the edge of the screen in the direction opposite of where they’re moving.
    • When you reach the 2048 tile, you win the game.
      • Select the check button on the win screen to close the win screen and continue.
      • When you continue, the cells you merged will be cleared.
      • Repeat the process for as long as you want.
    • The game ends when you run out of space on the grid.
      • Select Restart on the bottom row of the game over screen to start over.
  • Scoring
    • Each pair of cells you merge earns you points. The value of the points is equal to the value of the cells when combined (e.g. you get 4 points for ever pair of twos you merge).

  • Tips
    • Keeping the largest tile off on one side makes it easier to merge the others effectively.
      • If the tiles are moving in roughly the same direction, they will grow larger in a predictable, easy to manage pattern.
      • New low-value tiles will also spawn close to where they’ll be merged easily.
      • The game becomes significantly harder when the large tiles are not in a corner.
    • As much as possible, move in only two directions: down and to one side.
      • We recommend that one side be “left” as that makes it easier to keep track.
      • Move up sparingly and only if needed. Moving up when the largest tile is not locked in some way will increase the likelihood of the grid going in disarray quickly.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like games inspired by the original 2048 game.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
