Tap where you want to add or remove matches to solve the equation based on the given instructions.

- Click on the arrow to begin the game. This will bring up the level select screen.
- Your game play data is stored in your local web browser.
- As you beat levels it will unlock additional levels.
- You can turn sound on or off in the upper right corner of the game’s welcome screen.
- Playing the Game
- Read the instructions at the beginning of each level and follow them precisely.
- Tap where you want to lay down a match.
- Tap a match to pick it up.
- Strategy
- You get unlimited plays and can restart any level whenever you like.
- Keep in mind the specific number of moves and any other specifics given in instructions.
- This game requires significant attention to detail.
- A 9 could look complete without the horizontal match at the bottom.
- In some cases the instructions will tell you specifically what the result or another number will be, while in others it will emphasize more the move count.
- A few puzzles have multiple correct answers where only one of them will count. This can be quite frustrating.
- Level 11’s answer is not 9+0=9.
- Level 13’s answer is not 2+4=6.

Burn Matches is the video game version of the classic logic puzzle of moving the matches. The matches spell out a specific, if incorrect equation. Each level comes with specific instructions on which match to move. To clear the level, the resulting equation must be correct after you move the matches. The matches catch fire when you give the correct answer.
This game is both a test of logic and arithmetic. Look at each equation with care before moving the match. Something might look normal but may be incomplete, such as a 9 missing the bottom bit. Examine the equation with care to find the right moves. Be aware that some equations may have two valid answers. The game considers only one of them correct.
