How to Play

Select adjacent identical balloons to pop the required number of balloons to reach the level goal and advance to the next stage.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select Play below the title of the game to begin.
  • If you’re playing for the first time, select Help to open the tutorial screen.
  • View your previously saved best scores by selecting High Scores.
  • Use the drop-down list on the bottom left corner to choose a game language:

  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click to pop the balloons.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the balloons with your fingers to pop them.
• Game Play
  • Level selection
    • You play through all the levels in a single session.
      • The game ends when you reach the last level or when you run out of moves in a game.
      • If you exit a game mid-session, you have the option to resume the game from the level you left off or start over from the begining.
    • When you finish the game or fail the level, the game offers to place your score in the leaderboard.
  • Basic rules
    • Pop the required number of balloons as indicated on the left center of the screen.
      • Balloons can be popped in groups of 2 or more.
      • You can pop even more balloons using a power up.
      • The game ends automatically when you meet the quota or run out of valid moves.
    • Retrieve gifts within the balloons.
      • To retrieve gift items, pop the balloons and make sure that nothing is beneath them.
      • If you pop a gift balloon while another balloon is beneath them, the gift moves to that balloon.
    • If you lose, you have the option to try again or quit.
  • Power ups
    • Use power ups to help you clear the balloon stack faster. You can find these on the bottom right corner of the playing field.
    • You gain power ups from random gifts.
    • The power ups are as follows:
      • Pin: Pop a single balloon
      • Switch: Have a pair of adjacent balloons trade places
        • Select the balloon you want to move
        • Select the other balloon you want it to switch with.
      • Bomb: Takes out a square of up to 9 balloons all at once
      • Vertical rocket: Takes out a column of balloons
      • Horizontal rocket: Takes out a row of balloons
    • Power ups do not carry over to the next level. Use them all up in the level you earned them.
  • Scoring
    • You get 5 points for every balloon you pop. The minimum you can get is 10 points in a single move.
    • You get a bonus at the very end of the level. This depends on how many balloons are left after you meet the level’s quota.
    • The highest bonus you can receive is 1,000 points, which you get for popping all the balloons onscreen.
  • Tips
    • Balloons and gifts float upward. Bear this in mind when clearing groups of balloons.
      • Vertical balloon groups do not fall out of alignment when popping balloons, but horizontal groupings may.
      • It can be beneficial to work on horizontal groupings low on the playing field before popping many balloons high up on the stage.
    • Try to form pairs with every move you make.
      • Take out groups of balloons that would create more groups as they disappear.
      • Likewise, minimize the instances where you lose balloon groups after making a move. If you suspect this might happen, take out those groups immediately.
    • Use all your power ups within the level.
