How to Play

Destroy and evade asteroids for as long as you can.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, press any key on your keyboard to begin.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard:
      • Press the space bar to charge your shot. Release to shoot.
      • Press the left arrow or A key to turn clockwise
      • Press the right arrow or the D key to turn counterclockwise.
      • Press the W key or up arrow to zip forward.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Although this game might load on touchscreen devices, its controls were optimized for desktops with keyboards.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Game screen (top row, left to right)
      • Gear button: Pauses the game and opens the options screen
      • Score button
    • Options/Pause screen (center, top-down)
      • Master slider: Controls both the game’s music and sound effects volumes
      • Music slider: Controls the volume of the game’s music
      • SFX slider: Controls the volume of the game’s sound effects
      • Full screen check box: Lets you switch between windowed and full screen modes.
      • Bottom row (left to right):
        • Control button: Shows you the game’s controls
        • X button: Closes the options screen and resumes the game
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Shoot down as many asteroids as you can.
      • You can choose to shoot the asteroids multiple times or charge your shot and take them out in one go.
      • Fully charged shots destroy asteroids completely, while smaller shots fracture them into smaller bits.
      • Your fully charged shots continue to travel after they destroy asteroids. If they hit more asteroids, they too will be destroyed.
    • Dodge the oncoming asteroids by zipping away.
    • Don’t get hit by the asteroids.
  • Hit points
    • You start the game with 3 hit points, indicated by the bars beneath your ship.
    • Each time you get hit by asteroids, you lose a hit point.
    • Lose all of them and it’s game over.
  • Scoring
    • Your score is based on the number of asteroids you shoot.
    • Shooting one asteroid in one fully charged shot is worth 5 points. This is the same value as taking out one asteroid in multiple shots.
    • Shooting multiple asteroids in a single shot points:
      • 5 points for the first asteroid.
      • 10 point for the second one.
      • 15 for the third one, and so on.
    • Taking out the smaller pieces with a regular shot yields 10 points.
    • The game does not record your best score.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like space shooting games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
