How to Play

Guide the box around the level and collect as many green apples as you can. Watch out for spikes, enemies, and other hazards.

• Starting the Game
  • Left click or tap anywhere on the loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • On the welcome screen, select Play at the center to begin.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.

    • With your keyboard:
      • Press the left arrow key to move left.
      • Press the right arrow key to move right.
      • Press the up arrow key to jump.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • With your fingers:
      • Tap on the left and right arrows to move horizontally.
      • Tap on the up arrow to jump.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Top left corner:
      • Apples collected
    • Bottom row (touchscreen controls, left to right):
      • Left arrow
      • Right arrow
      • Up arrow
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Moving around
      • You can slide horizontally around the platforms.
      • Jump to move to other platforms that are higher up or farther away.
      • Hop on and off moving platforms to cross wide chasms.
        • Moving platforms can move up or down.
        • Pay attention to the movement of the platforms before hopping on.
        • Some moving platforms lead to spikes. Hop off them before they make contact.
      • Watch out for boxes.
        • Unlike platforms, which are stable, boxes will disappear after a few seconds when stepped on.
        • Hop off the boxes as soon as you can.
      • Reach the sign that says “To be continued” to finish the game.
      • Use arrows to reach higher-up places.
        • Arrows act as trampolines, giving you a jumping boost.
        • To avoid hazards, make sure to jump on the arrows at the right time.
    • Dying and check points
      • You will die if you fall off a platform, hit a spike, or hit an enemy.
      • Reach check points to save your progress.
        • Check points appear as flag poles.
        • Activate a check point by getting to it. It will unfurl a flag to indicate that it is active.
        • Each time you die or reload the game, you will automatically respawn at the check point nearest you.
  • Enemies and hazards
    • Avoid hazards
      • Red spikes
        • Red spikes appear on the ceilings and floors.
        • They are permanent hazards that you must try to avoid at all costs.
        • Spikes can sometimes appear lodged in rotating platforms. Be careful when moving around these.
      • Purple spikes
        • Purple spikes appear on the ceiling-parts of the platforms.
        • Unlike red ones, they will break off just as you approach them.
          • Once they’ve fallen off, they will no longer be a threat.
          • These will also take out any enemy that happens to pass by.
      • Lasers
        • Lasers are generated by a pair of yellow boxes.
        • These turn on and off at regular intervals.
        • Pass through them while the laser is off, preferably when it just turned off.
    • Avoid or stomp on enemies.
      • In general, enemies will take you out if you touch them.
      • There are two types of enemies that patrol the level.
        • You can take out red enemies by stomping them.
        • You cannot take out green enemies and must avoid them.
      • Enemies you stomped on will not reappear again in your current session, even if you died.
        • They will not reappear until you reload the game.
      • All enemies move back and forth in a set path; they will not chase you.
