How to Play

Slide the number tiles around the grid to try to merge identical numbers together until you reach all the way up to 2048.

    • Press the left arrow key to slide the tiles left.
    • Press the right arrow key to slide the tiles right.
    • Press the up arrow key to slide the tiles up.
    • Press the down arrow key to slide the tiles down.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger and drag in the direction you wish to slide.
  • Controls & indicators
    • Your current score is shown in the upper right.

    • This game consists of a 4×4 grid of 16 cells.
    • Your goal is to merge the number tiles together until you create 2048.
    • Each time you slide another tile appears on the opposite side of the screen.
    • The game ends when you run out of space to make moves.
  • Scoring
    • Each merge is worth the value shown on the face of the tile you created.
    • Your game score is the sum of your individual move scores.
  • Specifics
    • This game forces you to slide in a way that creates some relative tile movement, so if all your tiles are aligned to one side you will be forced to move in another direction.
    • Whenever you make a move a new tile appears on the opposite side.
      • The new tile can be valued at 2 or 4.
    • When your move could set off a chain reaction it does not. Each move will only create the first of a sequence of merges & if there are new merges made available based on that you can move in the same direction again.
