This is a stealth room escape game where your goal is to use the building’s ventilation to help Lynx sneak around the building and get through each room undetected.

• Avoid being spotted in the flashlights of watchmen while making your way to the exit vents.
• Activate switches to create temporary platforms to move off of.
• In the middle levels you have to gain access cards to unlock the exit.
• On the later levels you have to pass through 8-bit virus chunks in the correct order to beat each stage.

How to Play

Avoid getting spotted in the flashlights of enemies. Ride on their backs to access hard to reach parts of the level & collect access cards. Collect viruses on the final couple levels to defeat the boss.

• Starting the Game
  • Tap the play button in the bottom center of the welcome screen to start playing.
    • If it is your first play you will start on the first level.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • If you have played the game before your browser saves your play data.
      • You will automatically start on the furthest level you unlocked.
  • To the left of the play button there is a music control button.
  • To the right of the play button there is a sound control button.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Text
      • Press D or the right arrow key to scroll through text.
      • Press S or the down arrow key to skip through entire text blocks.
    • Time
      • You can speed up time by holding either the Z key or the P key.
      • When you speed up time both you and other enemies on the screen move faster.
    • Movement
      • Press the A key or the left arrow key to move left.
      • Press the D key or the right arrow key to move right.
      • Press the W key or the up arrow key to move up.
      • Press the S key or the down arrow key to move down.
    • Reset
      • Reset the level by pressing the R key.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use the on-screen controls.
      • The four-direction movement pad is in the lower left corner of the screen.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen has a level select button.
    • The upper right corner of the screen has a level restart button.
    • The level select screen shows a bright teal border around the buttons for completed levels, with the last unlocked level having a blue outline & locked levels having a darker background.
      • The top center of the level select screen has buttons for music control and sound control.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • Movement
      • When you move in any direction you move until you run into an obstacle, a block, a person, or the edge of the room.
    • Enemies
      • Enemies move around the levels with a flashlight outline showing where their attention is focused.
        • Enemies walk on regular routes where their movement direction and attention focus changes.
          • Their flashlights illuminate the direction they are facing across 2 squares out from their face and 3 squares across.
          • Their flashlights may blink right before they will change directions.
        • You must remain detected throughout your entire movement sequence.
        • You can attach to the back of enemies moving around the screen.
          • While you are actively attached to an enemy that enemy can not see you, but other enemies can.
          • When you detach from an enemy you can only move in the opposite direction they are facing at that time.
      • Flashlights turn red if you are spotted.
    • Switches
      • Starting on level 9 stages have yellow switches on them.
      • Switches cause some blocks to retract and others to appear.
      • You can pass through red retracted blocks & are stopped when you run into the red block areas with the golden blocks sticking out.
    • Access cards
      • Starting from level 13 through level 16 the ventilation entrances are protected with lasers.
      • You have to collect all of the access cards from the security guards to disable the lasers, so that you may pass through the exit vent.
    • Virus
      • Starting in level 17 you attack computer virus in the pattern shown at the top of the screen, from left to right.
        • When you are going through a vertical virus you must run through it from above or below.
        • When you are going through a horizontal virus you must run through it from left or right.
        • After completing the virus pattern the level ends on levels 17 through 20.
          • You are not required to hit any enemies or go through an exit vent.
        • On level 21 you must complete the virus pattern & then run into the level boss.
          • You can not run into the boss until after all virus are destroyed.
          • Rather than the boss having a flashlight he has a forcefield which illuminates the 8 surrounding squares.
      • After running through a virus you keep on running until you run into something else.
        • If you run into a second virus in the wrong order or from the wrong direction you lose.
        • On the last level you can time hitting the final horizontal virus so that you run into the boss and finish them off.
  • Levels
    • This game has 21 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay any previously beat level at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by exiting through the vent undetected.
      • You lose a level if you get spotted by an enemy.
      • This game offers unlimited continues starting you at the beginning of the failed level.
  • Tips
    • Observe
      • Watch the entire route security guards go on to see where there are opportunities.
      • Security guards use the same route each time you play, making it easy to remember a set path you go down.
    • Route planning
      • Sometimes the best route is rather direct, whereas in other cases it is circuitous.
      • In some cases you can safely stay attached to a guard for an extended period of time, whereas other times you need to quickly make another move, or detach and then reattach again further along the journey.
