This is a sideview driving game which mimics the Wacky Races cartoon series. Players race side by side with 2 other cars and engage in a variety of simple mini games like cleaning the windshield, cleaning a sign, changing a tire, re-inflating a flat, and cooling down an overheated engine. Drivers can choose between 6 different cars, though all cars have the same driving attributes.

Wacky Races Road Trip Game Play Instructions

How to Play

Collect power ups and use them, and complete mini games along the path to finish in first place.

• Starting the Game
  • Click on the green button with the white arrow at the bottom of the welcome screen.
  • Select which car you want to use.
  • The game has a sound control button in the upper right corner of the welcome screen.
• Game Controls
  • Your car drives automatically and other than using power ups there is not really much of anything you can do to make it go slower or faster.
  • Tap the screen or left click your mouse to jump.
  • Run over boxes with power ups in them then click in the lower right corner on the picture of the power up to use it.
• Strategy
  • Car selection
    • Each car is the same other than aesthetics. You can click the left and right buttons to choose to play any of the following drivers & then click on the green button with the white arrow to start
      • Penelope Pitstop
      • Peter Perfect
      • Dick Dastardly and Muttley
      • IQ
      • Captain Dash
      • Gruesome Twosome
  • Course
    • When you begin the game it has you create a yellow and blue dotted line on the road map to draw out the course you will be driving.
    • A finger will eventually show you the path that needs to be created.
  • General
    • The minigames are quite easy.
      • For inflating tires you have to tap quickly but do not have to worry about overinflating them.
      • For cleaning the window and sign move quickly across the screen. You then have to select which sign path is the correct one.
      • For overheated components in the engine compartment put the fan where the overheated part is.
      • Some mini-games repeat a couple times in some spots.
      • When tightening lugnuts go slow with short bursts at the end to ensure you do not overtighten them.
      • Even if you fail a mini game you will end up getting 1 star instead of 3 on it.
    • This game is not particularly competitive nor deep in strategy, but does a good job mimicking the cartoon series.
