This is a simple 12-stage card clearing Mahjong Connect game themed for the holiday season. Clear all the cards by pairing them up. The pair must either directly touch each other, or have a line between them that has no more than 2 right angles.

How to Play

Clear cards by pairing them up. Cards can be adjacent or linked by a path with no more than 2 right angles.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select Play below the title of the game to begin.
  • If you’re playing for the first time, select Help to open the tutorial screen.
  • Select High Scores to view the leaderboard.
  • Use the drop-down list on the bottom left corner to choose a game language:

• Game Play
  • Levels
    • You play through all 12 levels in a single session. The game ends when you reach the last level or when you run out of time & lose a level.
    • If you exit a game mid-session, you can resume the game from where you last left off or start over from the beginning.
    • You have the option to save your final score in the leaderboard when you finish or fail a level.
  • Basic concept
    • Match the cards by pairing them up with an identical card through a path
      • Despite its name, the game’s cards are based on playing cards, so the card pairs are based on suits (spades, hearts, clubs, and diamonds) and numbers.
      • Cards can be paired if a path can be formed between them that does not touch other cards and has no more than 2 90 degree bends. This includes adjacent cards.
      • You must match suit and card value for a pair to be considered valid.
    • Clear all the cards in the field before the timer runs out to win the level.
      • Each time you clear a pair of cards, you gain a little extra time.
      • The game ends if you are unable to finish the game on time or run out of moves and reshuffles.
    • Each level has the cards behave differently as they are removed.
      • Some levels will have the cards drop as you remove the cards beneath them, or move up when you move the cards above them.
      • Some levels will have cards move up & down (depending on if you are removing tiles from the top or bottom half of the screen).
      • Some will have tiles move toward the left side, the right side, or approach both sides (similarly to the up and down level).
      • Other levels will have the cards remain stationary.
    • If you’re ever stuck, get a hint or shuffle the cards.
      • You can only use either option a maximum of 6 times per level (though your use count is restored after each stage).
      • Each time you finish a level, you regain 1 more of each.
      • You take a point penalty each time you use a shuffle or hint.
        • Shuffles cost 500 points.
        • Hints cost 100 points.
  • Scoring
    • Your game score is cumulative across levels.
    • You gain 100 points for every pair you clear.
    • You also gain bonus points after clearing a level.
      • This is based on how much remaining time you have upon finishing, as reflected in the meter at the bottom of the screen.
      • Each time you match a pair the meter gains a bit more time.
      • This meter ranges from around 0 to 1,600.
    • Using hints costs you 100 points & shuffling the tiles costs you 500 points.
  • Tips:
    • Begin by spotting all adjacent pairs and the pairs on the edges.
    • Pay attention to where the cards are falling at the start of the game.
      • Adjacent card pairs might suddenly separate if you clear a different pair before them.
      • Know which pairs to remove first to maximize your removal strategy.
      • If the tiles move left then it makes sense to match vertical pairs whenever you can, particularly if they are near the right side of the playing field.
      • If the tiles move down it makes sense to try to create horizontal pairs higher up the playing field early.
    • If you get stuck shuffle the tiles.
    • Make easy matches early
      • The easiest tiles to match are corner ones since you can match in both directions.
      • Up next are the outside tiles, as they are clear in one direction.
      • Center tiles are harder to match since they need to be adjacent.
      • Try to create a clear path in the middle of the tiles so that you have more surface area to make matches against.
